Jamie Jellis signs

Addo, part of the sale deal was that their existing owners see the benefit of that sale. Not Trivella.

And like I say it’s not about our money going to them or vice versa. It’s who feeds in to the Trivella pot (then who reaches in to the Trivella pot when needed) Trivella want to please their investors and butter them up for more cash. Silkenborg will vacume up the cash quicker than the rest of us.

No evidence either way yet. Just a common multiclub gripe … you can see it happening

That would be completely the opposite to what Ben said their objectives were though wouldn’t it…. A quick buck…

Just a thought but all this talk of what Trivela will or won’t do with cash from player sales seems a bit premature as they (and Matt) repeatedly state that they are looking to come through January stronger (not wealthier…)

It’s not about a quick buck it’s saying - look at the margins that can be achieved. There will be some early showboating done to say look at this …

Drogheda in Europe for sure.
Us when we sell off a Jellis or Barrett.

As long as we are winning it won’t be an issue.

How much we would get for JJ is only as important as how much to replace him. If you can find an equal or better quality rough diamond then great but you aren’t always going to be able to do that.

Selling him before the end of the season would be a crime, unless we get some kind of ridiculous offer.

This is a silly question but would any money go to the club kitty or be a dividend for the investors?

Not a silly question.

Pretty sure it will go back into the club (atm), sure I read recently about investors not looking for an immediate return on thier money. Long term investments.

Would go back into the club. Dividends are announced against profits not an individual transaction, so such a transaction has to be put against other transactions as well, can’t just dish out cash from one profitable transaction (can announce an additional dividend from a windfall but it still has to be against the overall profitability of the company). There are regs that govern it to stop companies setting up just to pull cash in, dish it out as dividends and then shut down leaving a load of debt behind them. Does happen occasionally(even with some large companies) but is illegal and the people involved usually end up in the nick. It is a sad state of affairs as well that sentences for that sort of thing are often more than you’ll get for some pretty terrible violent crimes, even more so if a Plc is involved. I’m afraid governments are far more concerned about markets betting distorted than the wellbeing of their citizens (until they need their vote of course when they just lie through their teeth anyway).

To the tune of Mull of Kintyre

But what do you really think of it?

So you think there’s a chance it will catch on then?

Not even the Stock Aitken Waterman remix with Jive Bunny version would catch on.

Yeah, it’s as catchy as herpes.

A few rumours going about that Wycombe have put bids in for Jamie.

Stay strong Walsall.

Posted on here somewhere, 2 bids, both knocked back, plus he seemed to be suggesting he was staying on Saturday…

After he scored, I’m sure the pitchside announcer said something about “new contract” but it was a bit noisy round by me and I didn’t quite catch it.

Anyone else hear it?
