Read today that Joe Bunney is looking for a club.
Still only 27, tall and left footed. With Nurse and possibly Jules leaving, he could do a job until the end of the season and would not be on big wages.
He has experience and showed good league one pedigree before a couple of injuries. I was always impressed with him when Rochdale invariably beat us at the Banks’s (with goals from Henderson more often than not).
I shall await, “Walsall pull a rabbit out of the hat with this signing” headlines now…
To clarify, we should be aiming higher but if Jules leaves, we need a left sided footballer who would relish the opportunity to prove himself again, very much in the mould of when we got Andy Taylor who really helped the team and Rico’s development.
