This team is still a left back centre midfielder attacking midfielder and winger minimum from a top 10 side. That is massively concerning

Think it may of been an ideal opportunity to rest Miller and give him a breather and play either Wilko or Phillips and play Shade wide as well as Khan, just an opinion

I think it is because we can’t work out the 4,8 and 10 roles in midfield. Labadie presses high which leaves Earing as the sitter. Osadebe, who is supposed to be the 10 gets given a floating role but that lack of definition seems to hinder rather than help. You can see them trying to work it out in live play. Especially when the three of them all end up on the same patch of grass.

You end up screaming at Osadebe to get himself 30 yards further up the park. Partly to get out of the way - I’m sure there was a clearance today that hit him on the arse on the edge of his own box and partly to give Miller some support because by christ he needs it.

So offensively through the middle is a mess of roles and purpose. The other way to attack in open play is down the sides. To do that well you need to either overload and outnumber or in a Graydon way get it wide and get it crossed quickly. We do neither. Ward can’t get up and down and White is hit and miss. Neither have a chance to build anything like a relationship with a winger because our wingers swap sides every five minutes, it is the position we rotate the most and the position we always substitute around. There’s no Aranalde/Pedro understanding going to flourish any time soon. They play like the virtual strangers they are. And even if we did work a wide position we tend to only have Miller in the box which makes a cross a throw of a loaded dice.

The other way of scoring is set pieces. Ours are trash.

Today there was very little by way of creative spark. A lot of that is down to Taylor. But I also look at the club. I believe we travelled up today. No overnight. On the back of Tuesday that is a huge ask.

Taylor has questions to answer but let’s face it this notion of “giving it a real go” is pie in the sky if we are asking players to be up at the crack of sparrow to get to the ground to sit on a bus for four hours.

Personally I’d like to know why this group of players believe it’s ok to underperform to this extent?

Seems to be a real shortage of personal pride.

That is a bit disgraceful if they really have traveled to the game today rather than stay overnight . It’s definitely not giving us the best chance of getting a result is it?

That said we could have played these at home today and it would be no real surprise if we put on one of these performances. Almost half way through the season now without winning back to back league games. If you keep doing the same things you will get the same results and that is how I expect the season to pan out until the end now.

Good summary.

If we did indeed travel up this morning then Pomlett needs bargepoling. Absolute tinpot… if it is true.

They definitely travelled today, cos some was waiting for the coach as ours left the ground and not all was there

Well you could see that happening couldn’t you. Had the better of the play but failed to dominated a poor side and pose them any real threat only to get sucker punched. Seen that a couple of times earlier in the season. Games like that on the back of a good win that make the difference between mid table and playoffs.

That’s definetely the case. My friend saw the coach.

Well it’s utter bollocks and tinpot.

I agree. Totally amateurish.

Don’t know what Taylors identity is tbh after watching the Harrogate, Rochdale and Carlisle games

Hoofball seems his preferred style. Lol

Just watched Matt Taylor’s post match interview. Could have been taken from any number of games this season to be honest.

Like Mazza alluded to above, he seems to be questioning why the players are under performing. It is his problem to solve though, that’s football management.

If Matt stopped instructing them to simply punt the ball aimlessly up the pitch it might be a start?

We need a striker that can hold it up simple Miller either gets outnumbered or it bounces off him.Shocking if we travelled up there today as well.

Totally agree regarding traveling as far as Carlisle on the day.
I’m sure most National league clubs would do an overnight stay given the distance.
Tinpot!
Pomlett needs to be asked about this.

There’s a player there in Perry he needs to be kept in the first team squad. Think about his impact he made last season.
