L 1-0 vs Harrogate Town (H) - League Two - Sat 11th Nov, 3pm

It shouldn’t have been a kick about , it was an opportunity against a lot lower level team to impress and prove yourself .

Bradford to recall Jake Young from Swindon in Jan.

DJ off to Flynn and Co.

You heard it here first.

No i actually think that with a scoring record at our club which was impressive he should be given a fair crack of the whip last season as well as this season he offered very little apart from putting it in the back of the old onion bag theb he should be given a fair chance to carry on that impressive form ? You or no one else can tell me hes had a fair chance , sometimes players and clubs just click and it all falls into place but now we will never know. Doesnt matter if they scored 9 goals a season or 14 at previous clubs his scoring rate for us was well above average

Ok. It wasn’t a kick about….he scored, set one up, had one cleared off the line and caused their defenders problems which gave him several other opportunities to score :+1::+1:

Against sheppy….
You can’t tell me dj wouldn’t have scored a hat trick against that defence and with the chances djt had

I agree. But you said he’d score 20 goals a season (something he’s never done and never been close to and that him and Draper would score 40+ goals a season between them, something neither of them have ever done and something there’s no evidence of happening.

The mythical 20 goal a season and you think we’ve got two of them in the same squad in a side that don’t create a lot, don’t dominate possession and don’t win many games :+1::+1::rofl::rofl:

That’s my point!!! It was either a kick about against Sheppey or it was a chance to impress……he can’t have it both ways!!

I was on the side of it being meaningless :man_shrugging::man_shrugging:

Do you think perhaps that he was forced to switch shape due to him building an unbalanced squad?

We can’t moan about players being unavailable when we recruited to play 352 with no plan B.

Tbf I agree with that
Whoever we played who’s professional should have looked good against them simply by being more athletic
I’m just suprised with where we are in the league and the fans aren’t on sadlers side he’d risk playing a defensive midfield with djt infront of them instead of dj who’s a lot more proven at this time
We won’t create alot this time and djt has never proven he has the finishing ability or strikers instinct to score with limited chances

Obviously to play draper and DJ together would need to change the formation and tactics which isnt going to happen now , your seriously telling me that an experienced manager or even one who knows tactics and game play couldnt get them two playing together and strike up a big man small man combo ? Lets ignore the evidence though and stats from both players that this wouldnt work just to fit your view :+1::+1::joy::joy:

And who would blame him!!
We will finish in a poor 16th/17th position once again in this already written off season. CS quoting injuries as an ‘excuse’ yet again…every team has injuries, Managers just have to deal with it. However with those few that are left, why on earth would ANY Manager pick DJT ahead of DJ when we have a decent opportunity to bag goals against what most would consider an easier game at home?
I know ‘give it a rest’…
I hope DJT bags a goal or two, but doubtful. Obviously Sadler & Trivela happy to finish 17th in the 4th Division and perhaps get into the 3rd round of the F.A. Cup only to be knocked out away to an unfancied team like Millwall.
Come on you reds, please don’t let a goal in after a few minutes again, getting to be an embarrassment.

What a surprise, no DJ. Probably red carded on the training grounds. Mhm, tough luck. Highly entertaining goalless draw then.

No. He was forced to switch shape because he had 5 centre backs to play 3 at the back and 4 of them were unavailable!! Jesus what planet are we on?

Normally the nonsense starts about 20 minutes into the game not 20 mins before it!!

The squad was more than capable of switching to a 4231 and then Oteh gets injured, Tierney gets injured and now even that’s a push :+1:

Oh yeah the big man small man thing……

Two up front meant playing 3 at the back….but most people hated that.

It’s not just my view mate….it’s the view of the people who are then train and play every day!!

DJ has had more opportunities than anyone other than Draper this season and we’ve lost pretty much everytime he’s been on the pitch!!!

No Armstrong for them today…

Just doesn’t make sense to pick a sub standard cf instead of a seasoned pro who can score goals. We are at home and need a win Saddler ffs

Early goals … Wrexham 1 Gillingham 0 (2 min)

Grimsby Town 0 Morecambe 1 (2 min)

Oh, and Wayne Rooney still to find any kind of managerial mojo as his Blues side lost 3-1 at Sunderland.

We switched to 4231 against Bradford, a game in which McEntee played in midfield and we had Harry Williams with DD at the back. So 3 available.
