L 1-0 vs Northampton Town (H) - League Two - Sat 5th Feb, 3pm

After Saturdays defeat, Tuesday’s match most certainly will be more important than a Cup Final!

Looking at the Scunthorpe v Oldham game. I think a draw would be best but if one of them has to win I’d choose Scunthorpe. Oldham have a game in hand on us, which okay doesn’t mean much to a team that isn’t winning often but Scunthorpe have played a game more also. Scunthorpe have lost their last 5 games, Oldham have taken 3 draws out of the last 5. Only takes them to start turning a couple of those draws into wins and they will be right on our tails.

I know we shouldn’t be thinking like this at all, but that is where we are at unfortunately unless we can get a few results and take the pressure off.

Pomlett and Taylor continue to back this group to the hilt. It’s time they repay this faith.

Respect enniskillen, can’t help but admire your dedication , I sincerely hope you witness a good performance and result tomorrow, safe journey mate.

He’s got no money to incentivise them so the best thing for him to do is not de-incentivise them or make their lack of confidence worse. He knows like we do this is the worst team in living memory.

Sack the board

Lose 0-2

Trivia alert:
Jerome K Jerome was born in Walsall and died in Northampton.
Make of that what you will.

Looking like a load of cobblers turning up tomorrow. 1,011 tickets sold so far.

We are 2/1 to win at home, via SkyBet

So I’ve gone with Northampton.

Another overly optimistic line on the supporters guide for tomorrow’s match on the club’s site…

“The Ticket Office will be open from 11am right up until kick-off.

We would like to advise supporters to arrive as early as possible as we expect to be busy.”

Because I don’t have positive feelings before the game, just don’t lose. That would be all.
Maybe at least I forget that Oss’ cross from the last game. Back, attempt to cross the ball.

This game has all the hallmarks of a Shithoused win… with the club acting all smug and pleased with themselves; before a demoralising loss to Scunthorpe on Tuesday.

How irritating is Heslop? How many times does he try and tell who he’s interviewing what it’s all about? I struggle to listen to the bloke tbh

Your dedication to this football club is phenomenal in fact I’d be enlisting fans such as yourself to sit in the dressing room with these players so they could witness firsthand your sheer dedication to their campaign surely it would strike up a reaction knowing you travel so far to see them and of course it would be fitting for you to meet them it’s the least you’d deserve after travelling so far to watch the game. You my friend are remarkable plain and simple.

1.1 draw I think which would at least break the current run.
It’s more that I shall be really hoping for a similar score at Glanford Park today which shows how desperate this season is becoming.

My next door neighbour is going today - his grandsons football team are training at Walsall this morning and have free tickets to watch the match. Not sure if that’s an incentive or a punishment.

Surely there will be a reaction whether that lasts all game or whether it’s only sustained for half an hour I’m fully expecting something this week.If Matt doesn’t get a reaction and there’s a similar poor level of performance then he must look at himself and admit he won’t be able to improve us going forward.

It’ll kick off today if we go a couple of goals down early on.
