If someone had said to me, at the beginning of the season, we would be one place behind Salford after 4 games I would be quite chuffed!
Well run club my arse
I thought all the pre season hype was over the top, but was confident we wouldnāt be relegated. Sadly Iām coming round to thinking I too was over optimisticā¦
Iāve done worse things.(done probably the wrong word)
Iāll have some of whatever ur smoking. After watching that game thereās only Wilkinson, white and the keeper Iād keep. The rest arenāt good enough. Weāre bang in trouble, this isnāt a gelling problem
Cooke and Cook are two different peopleā¦
He doesnāt set the bar very high does he
Good players for this league?
We have just been turned over by liddle
Thatās our level now
Too many spoil the broth
Credit to anyone who made the trek up to Pool, sounded dismal! Hopefully you all have a good night out in the Toon or Durham to compensate for it.
Club is still miles away isnāt it. Hopefully Pomlett realises this in next 10 days as barely a shot at goal v newly promoted team sadly sums it up nicely.
What was good in this game, hmm, let me think. At halftime I made tea and grabbed some sweets from the fridge. What, on the field? Not that much. If only we had a manager, who can organise this lot to play better in defence and add more meat to set pieces. Ok, so the next game will be better. Iām backing off and staying patient.
Do you REALLY think weāll source two quality forwards? What part of our recent to mid history gives you hope for that?
Look mate after 60 years I know a little bit about the game and I well aware we are playing poorly at the minute but that doesnāt mean that will continue. I was on here defending Dean Smith after long runs of disappointing results and in the end it came good.It will again in my view.
I donāt know whether thatās right or wrong, but itās just human nature.
Remember, this is a season where Leigh, himself, promised a much better season that last year. Folk are right to be annoyed.
That is what gets to ya all the BS they come out with to sell season tickets then serve up crap like that
No choice really. Every single game is showing current forward options arenāt good enough and with two injuries nothing on the bench to change things.
If club is happy just to write off season after season in league 2 then fair enough but youād like a decent go at promotion one year surelyā¦miles off that currently as first 4 games show.
Really this just feels the same as first games under Clarke so little progess in two years.
We may as well face it, we are just cow dung at the moment. I canāt see us getting anywhere near the quality we need for the remaining 2 or 3 players we need. My early optimism has gone and to be honest at this moment in time I Ifeel very betrayed.
Yes we all have our trousers round our ankles for another season.
Iām not sure who these good players WalsallOne is talking about are? The keeper (who is on loan) Wilkinson looks like he has a bit about him but is definitely not a number 9. The rest just look like average or worse 4th division players. Holden being injured doesnāt help but there is more to this than that.
We should have spent the bulk of the budget on players that can create and score goals, and patched the rest up. All teams in this division are rubbish at defending anyway.
Argument from āyears of watchingā doesnāt work.
A trained gazelle can see we have the same problem, year after year.
Itās like Groundhog Day.
I will wait till after the deadline day before going fully in on the club, but I am hoping they rekindle some of the positivity in the next 7-10 days by bringing in 3-4 players.
Itās so blindingly obvious this squad is imbalanced. What i want to see is quality additions, experience, and not random under 23 players. We will be on a one way ticket to the conference if that happens.
