Dean Smith earned that faith by keeping us up in his first season when we looked dead and buried. Most of us could see the plan forming with Deano.

The problem is Dean Smith was one in 30 appointments, as we have seen since. We can’t continue operating this way and expect to compete @WalsallOne. The game has moved on.

All this nonsense of respecting the way we are trying to play while sitting in the bottom two of the football league after a season we nearly lost our league place, just won’t wash.

The club is dying mate!

Absolutely ****** woeful.

Far too slow all over the pitch with zero end product.

Expected alot more from some of the signings, but I’m extremely disappointed.

We’ve made Feathers tone look like Pirlo and Liddel like Van Dyck.
Apart from the keeper and Kinsella and possibly Kiernan there is absolutely no redeeming features for the rest on today’s showing

We should have just given Pomlett the money to buy a striker :joy:

Maybe I am being a bit harsh. I just think it would have been more effective to go out and get a few players that got fans of their seats, created and scored goals. After the past few seasons we have been through, to have a team that was an actual goal threat would have been lovely.

Even if the signings we made were good ones on paper, look at our bench today, I know Shade and Holden are injured but we had Osadebe as our only attacking option on the bench. Very depressing.

I still live in hope things will get better, it just feels really bad right now. Probably not just because of the start to this season but all that has gone before it.

That’s just the side bet :flushed:

Is it Feathers, Tone?

“Look mate” how long you’ve been watching is irrelevant. Comparing this team and management to Dean Smith is f***ing laughable and again something else you’ve parroted about other shit shows over the last 4 years.

I don’t even know if that’s the answer judging on what they have brought in so far , apart from the keeper im struggling to see any one better than last year’s squad , and that’s not a very high bar ,

Instead of walking past the changing room this week and listening to Matt shouting maybe pomlett should poke his head through the door and slam it shut with his head wedge between it !!!

Though he was afforded plenty of patience, always felt Smith achieved what he did in spite of the way the club runs and the clear limitations. It was very much his project, and that was evident when he left and it all fell apart.
