Thanks for the helpful reply. Booked over the phone so may have to phone them next week. Thanks again.
I’m sure you’ll get a lift sorted Andy but if you do end up on train you’re better off getting the bus from Lancaster rather than the train to Morecambe. Takes 20 mins and drops off right outside ground number 6a
How do you know these things oh great one? I’m a regular visitor to Morecambe, the wife, for some unaccountable reason likes the place!!! But I was unaware of such a fact…I do however know of the old wives tale that in Morecambe they don’t bury their dead, but prop them up in bus shelters to make it look busy!!!
Last couple of times I’ve been, stayed in Lancaster, as did quite a few saddlers for the 1 0 night game, got the bus both times. There was a Scottish Morecambe fan I got talking to on who goes to all the games with his dog, stands on the narrow terrace to the right and has been going since well into their non league days when he used to holiday in Morecambe and got hooked on the football club, now Gets the train down with his dog from Glasgow every game! We both agreed the pies were better at their old ground, they were marvellous.

Based on what I’ve seen in pre season this is my starting team vs Morecambe
STARTING X1
Evans
Gordon
Hussey
DD
Farquharson
Foulkes
Stirk
McEntee
Hutch
DJT (Draper if not suspended)
DJ
SUBS
Smith
Williams
Allen
Riley
Tierney
Oteh
Matt
Draper can’t play. He’s suspended for the first 2 games
That’s throwed a spanner in the works the Tool
It’s confusing as it says here he’s served his 1 match ban
He’s not listed on the FA’s current suspension list for the club.
Or on Lincoln’s either.
That’s great news, him and DJ together are going to be dangerous this season
Good team - I’d put Draper in for DJT if available.
Hopefully DJ will be back for us as I’m sure Sadler said in interview that DJ has personal issues to sort out and he hopes he will be back Monday.
Some big decisions for Sadler on Saturday on whether to play Matt and Riley. Flynn would always go with the experienced pros in such a situation. I just hope Sadler gives youth a chance. Draper and Foulkes have looked good over pre-season and deserve to start. I’d like to see Maher get a run out as sub too.
I just can’t help but feel there will be a big wake up call Saturday - unless we can get in a RWB. The balance of the side doesn’t look right for me.
The good news is that we are playing a side that have had a bit of a turbulent pre season.
I really hope we can click and put these to the sword - it would be a massive confidence boost.
That said, we have quite a tricky opening set of fixtures which will tell us where we are compared to the other sides.
We have been really slow out of the gates the past two games, worries me the damage will be done before we wake up and realise it’s gone 3pm. I think we have plenty of goals in us though
If Draper is suspended I would replace him with Oteh partnering DJ up front. He’s done well since his return and deserves his place in the side.
I’m looking forward to the season, one I hope, will be an improvement on the last. We have some tough games after Saturday, that will prove what kind of stuff we’re made of.
UTS.
As I posted above (corroborating what @LucasB had already noted), he’s not on the FA’s current suspension list:
He’s not on there for us, and he’s not on there for Lincoln. Shrewsbury had Cheyenne Dunkley sent off in their final game of last season and he is listed as suspended for next Saturday - so the list is active.
He’s not banned , I’m sure I read that he’s served it.
Not next Saturday. The forecast for next week-end is for it to be 17 ° and pissing down with rain.
