Yes. I think we needed 7,650 to get to that 5,000 average. Did it comfortably.
Ok cheers Scoob. Some Swindon cocks on the train to New Street but apart from that it, all good.
Great to meet you, your missus and your old fella today ![]()
The best parts of the afternoon for me was a few words with Stan Bennett, Nick Atthey, Ray Wiggin and Keith Ball pre game, hearing that Kins had been named player of the season and Steve Tommo Thompson was named Fan Of The Season. Everything else was crud.
As long as your ok that’s all that matters it was a joy to meet you too mate hopefully do it again next season stay safe oh and the missus likes your next T-shirt very nice indeed
.
Literally nothing to do with the argument put above (that I have made for ages…. And proven once again correct in the first half today) … and nothing against him.
Many are starting to realise.
Ken’s post above is spot on.
If we want to look forward, we need to look at all areas of the pitch. Effort is not enough for me. I’m sick of being a shite lower mid table league two side.
A dramatic change is required in my opinion, even if we have to sacrifice some along the way.
Just shows it’s a complete myth that it takes years of squad building to challenge for promotion.
That’s obvious, you’re like el_nombre lite.
Its not just his effort, hes a ball winning midfielder and guess what he wins the ball back, simples
Despite us being crap Swindon again looked the best team in this league and should brush aside port vale.
That hurts
They are far from the best team in the league as the table shows.
Unfortunately for us, it just so happens that their strengths perfectly mirror our weaknesses. They have players who carry the ball with pace. We have a defence who we have brought because they are big and good at heading the ball away. We also try to play a high press which means our most destructive midfielder is twenty yards further up the pitch than he should be thus leaving a chasm in front of our back four for them to run into.
They’re a good footballing side. We can’t cope with them. But others with far more agile footballers have contained them quite comfortably - sometimes with only ten men.
First home game since the 2019 opener against FGR. Very disappointing if not unexpected. Wish we had impressive forwards who could attack with pace etc like Swindon’s
Nice to have a chat with @WalsallOne
Glad the week I had had in Dolgellau before this was better. Because of M6 closure, we came through Wolverhampton. They don’t seem to have trolleybuses any more .
Funny seeing the hysterical replies ![]()

oh my sides
Whos he mate
There’s plenty on the summer rumours thread about him mate ![]()
The truth is, as things stand, in what is a pathetic league, we can’t compete. Reality.
It was good to see you too . Maybe next time you come we will have an attack !!! The game was lost in the first few minutes because we know we lack firepower. Flynn is talking about signings already and I hope they are players who know how create and score goals.
Just another side that played decent football and I’m sat there thinking “we will never play like this”.
Not in awe or them being spectacular or anything, we would just never sign the players.
I thought Payne was exactly that today yes he scored 2 goals but he was excellent in my opinion.
He was! Exactly the type of player we need, a creative 8 or 10 which I was hoping Tomlin (remember him
) would be.
