L 3-1 vs AFC Wimbledon (H) - League Two - Sat 23rd Sept, 3pm

Might be Allen at LCB again, but Knowles has a 1 game ban so more likely to be Foulkes playing at RWB. DD, PF and Gordon (with a whole week to get over his jet lag) the other 3 so maybe not quite as makeshift as feared?

I have a feeling it will be deeper and djt uptop

A solid 2-0 win to round off a bloody marvellous few days around the place

We are going to smash this lot into the ground. Going to show them how to play, with a high press and high speed passing from the back. 34 shots on target, 14 corners and 3 penalties.
Score prediction 0:0 5342 glued to the edge of their seats.

I like that team. I think however I would start with Matt and bring Draper on after HT.

Also like the team but would start Matt and DJT for the extra energy and cutting edge

Cryptic sarcasm will come to haunt us all, think Sadler actually will!
DJ should be at the forefront of an attacking start, but he won’t. Hope I’m wrong but some of Sadler’s choices have tended to be slightly dubious recently.
1-1 written all over this 'un.

Hmmm? Only 2 wins in the last 3, and the loss was only after a silly sending off.

Thats a good team for the players at his disposal. However cant see Sadler ditching 3 at the back to start with.

I think Oteh should start alongside him this week. Oteh deserves a start.

But we shouldnt be afraid to take DJ off if he isnt adding to the game, thats just my thoughts on a conventional Sadler line up.

IF HOWEVER we were going to do somthing crazy and possibly dynamic i would go for a 4321 and focus the team around a dule creative ‘false 9’ with Hutchinson and Griffiths feeding from the middle into DJ, each making space for each other.

The back 4 would keep a high press with Gordon and Foulkes prepared to cover and remain wide to make space in the middle. Id sit Stirk, McEntee and Riley in front of the back 4 and they would press each lost phase of possession and look to bring in Hutch or Griffiths in turn.

Balls into the 16yrd box from cleverly worked possession for DJ to tap in.

Simple throw ins, short goal kicks, low driven corners with our 4 tallest players running into the 6 yard box from the far post and absolutely no time wasting and only DD addressing the ref as required.

Clear eyed aggression and attack from minute one to 98th never sitting back!

Feels like we need an extra player on the pitch to get out this league this year :joy:

And we still probably wouldn’t

What better way to start the post Mole era than with a convincing 3-0 victory

We’ve got this for

That would be lovely

No more tinkering and playing people out of their natural positions. And please for Christ sake don’t start Matt or Douglas James Taylor over Danny Johnson ffs. If he continues with that stupidity then he’s never gonna make a decent manager and anybody who believes he will with decision making like that are living on cloud cuckoo land. Anyways let’s wait and see what line up he picks today.

He will, it’s the unwritten law…he will no doubt not play Draper or Oteh either over the whole 110 minutes.

Matt and Douglas up front just for a good laugh
