L 4-0 vs Sutton United (A) - League Two - Sat 7th Oct, 3pm

Surely DJ couldn’t have been in good spirits. That doesn’t fit in with the made up rumours at all.

These are crap so we’ll probably have 31% possession and lose 1-0.

1st game of the season. Flew in last night, just on train from West Hampstead.

Now 22C!

I’m in the Robin Hood now - all Sutton, no other Saddlers. Told that this is the place where Sutton United was formed, via an amalgamation, 125 years ago and still has strong links with the club.

One local lad says our players were walking up to the ground a little while ago. It isn’t far from the hotel but you would still have thought they’d all go on the team bus with the kit etc. Maybe a little extra exercise to work off breakfast?

Officially 23C on my weather app.

And DJ starts!!!

Oteh and Knowles as wingers, Matt alongside DJ. Hutch, Draper and Tierney on the bench.

Draper definitely needs a break.

I’d agree with that. But are the 2 CMs in this seeming 442 creative enough? One of Stirk/McEntee + one of Hutch/Tierney would have been my choice.

Quite like that side. Conventional with good attacking options on the bench.

The big ask is of Stirk. If he’s not on it we could get overrun through the middle.

But overall - get it wide and get it crossed. If we do that well then it could be a good afternoon.

I just hope DJ score’s a hat-trick, I think you’d find that Sadlers problem with DJ would completely disappear

Lets see what Matt and DJ can do if we get some crosses in
