Defence looks a mess
Our goal was great pass by Daniels, brilliant control and first touch by Foulkes and great finish
Atleast its entertaining unlike Flynnvall

I struggle to care about a game the clubs and managers clearly don’t, but one thing is for sure: Tierney has to play in this side, whether it’s centre mid, attacking mid or as a second striker. Just too good to be sat on a bench at this level.

We need an experienced midfielder and leader in the centre

Both defences being pulled apart.
Might be 5-4

Apparently, we can’t defend, who’d have thought?

good to have some midfielders getting on the scoresheet, Mcentee halfway to Kinsella’s total Walsall goals :fishing_pole_and_fish:

Only 5mins e.t
Expected 15 with the new rules

Tierney absolutely has to start.

When I saw him for Motherwell he was by far the best player on the pitch (on both occasions).

Like I said on his thread - he’s the signing of the season for us.

Mcentee plays higher up the pitch though.I’m not sure how you can compare him to Kinsella who played right back most of his career.

That’s why managers play squad players in games like this. A lot to be learned

Sounds like Tierney is a bit of a player.

First half:

Good performance so far. A lot of it out of possession and we look good in the break.

Makes a massive difference having 3 actual midfielders in midfield.

Foulkes was the star of the half for me.

The negatives: our left channel is poor - both of their goals came from there. Allen has been poor.

Hopefully we can take this into the second half.

Signs were there in friendlies particularly Rochdale. pre season friendly games underwhelming opposition .and we were badly exposed this team and defence need time to gel .wholesale changes like tonight after 1 game which we lost is crazy .couple of changes and subs all that was required .

Does it go to penalties if it a draw after 90 minutes?

Already made more of an attacking input than Bennet did…. :fishing_pole_and_fish:

I was amazed he went back out to Kiddy last year. Even if he went back out to the national league. Said so at the time and got a fair amount of push back. Think he’s in with a chance of being a starter.

Puzzler that he’s been given a contract

Pie, mash, peas and gravy at Blackburn Rovers - now this looks the business - anyone had it?

Positive and good to hear. Sadler has said he has the trust of others after his experience playing in loan for Kiddy. Hopefully he and Tierney can stake a claim for Saturday.

If we can have a team with Tierney, Hutchinson, Johnson and Draper all playing together, that’s going to be some team going forward
