L 5-1 vs AFC Wimbledon (A) - League Two - Sat 27th April, 3pm

I expect Josh to be Mat Sadler’s first signing of the summer . A 2 year deal on a free from Burton.

Yep, me too!

Josh more of the same Gordon.

Cracking support yet again

Imagine Gordon up top for 2 seasons as the main man! So exciting !

Even on a free, he’s overpriced!

My summer is planned out already… personal chauffeur for Josh Gordon to take him free of charge anywhere he wants to go as long as it keeps him away from The Poundland … Dumping Gordon Uk Tour 2024

I will be bitterly disappointed if Sadler signs Gordon for next season, it absolutely goes against everything Trivela is trying to accomplish in moving the club forward. If MS wants an endurance runner he can find plenty of them down at the local athletic club.

I would love us to win to see the season out properly, but 4 or 5 nil is a stretch in anyone’s language. If anything they way our defense is playing we may get tonked by the same score!
Whatever happens, it’s been a good season of hope and excitement, certainly the best since we were relegated.
I would personally release all of the strikers. If DJ wanted to stay (which I doubt) I would offer him a contract. I would also contact West Brom and Norwich about permanently signing Mo and Manny, though signing the latter may be a more difficult task, Norwich may decide to “rest” him like we did…LOL. You don’t rest a player in the form that he was in!
Sorry, I got a little off topic there.

If that was the best Trivela could offeri terms of squad building then alarm bells will be ringing.

Don’t have a massive problem with him signing Gordon if we get the right players in with him.

Back to tomorrow …

Commentators on the QPR-Leeds game saying that Leeds are choking because of tge expectation on them, and Liverpool are also cracking in the EPL. We are rank outsiders for 7th spot tomorrow with each of the 3 above us - can we hope that Barrow, Crawley and Bradford will also feel the pressure tomorrow and all stumble?

Hopefully!

Although the odds are massively against us finishing 7th, it would be a waste if the other results did go our way and we had played an experimental line up with a load of kids, or ruling out any players because they won’t be here next year as I think someone mentioned further up.

I expect 100% from the team tomorrow. Thick end of 1300 people giving up their Saturday and paying good money to go to the smoke to watch their team.
Important to finish the season on a high and I think we may well nick a win.

It’s simple, the lady hasn’t sung the final song

We’ve got this

Maybe, it’s about time that Josh Gordon tuned his banjo so he can give the Wimbledon barndoor a good ‘pounding’! As someone else posted, there are probably a million reasons why that won’t happen! :joy:

Wow expect another goalfest then next year from the headless chicken. Another example of sadlers judgement, Trivela ambition and how far behind burton we have fell. Just rubbish

Day 2 of a mate’s birthday weekend booze up in Guildford. So not able to attend. Just about to go for a mossiv fry up, and then on the town. So won’t be commenting until much later, when no doubt I’ll be pissed and offensive. Apologies in advance for that, whether we’re celebrating the unlikely in the playoffs, or miss out. Wanting a win today to finish on a positive whether it’s enough or not.:sunglasses::bacon::beers:
