League Two 24/25 - The Other 23

I assume you have all misspelt the name and you actually mean John Pender, the Wolves centre back from the early 80s. In 1996 when playing for Wigan he scored an own goal at Bescot which put us through to the fourth round of the F A Cup. After he retired he was, for a time at least, a bus driver in Telford. I’ve never heard anyone call him “King” though, I’ve no idea where you get that from.

I hope this helps.

Yes 13 consecutive wins in Div 4/League 2 would be a record, currently held by the two ‘Hatters’, Luton Town (2001/2) and Stockport County (last season) with 12 wins each.

As PT says, a tall order still, but it’s certainly not beyond the capabilities of this team.

Whilst accepting that the fat bird hasn’t started catawaulling yet, we are definitely on for a higher points finish than the moneybags teams of last season
92 Stockport - 2.0 ppg
88 Rectum - 1.91 ppg
86 Mansfield - 1.87 ppg

We are currently on 2.32 ppg which, if maintained would give us 107pts :flushed:

It’s so impressive what we are doing, without throwing bundles of money at it. Even the team yesterday had been out and spent money.

It really is a fantastic job Sadler has done, I can’t quite believe how good we are.

Apparently spent £600k on the two new ones!!

Just goes to show that spaffing boat loads of cash on “names” isnt the way to go. Players need to be selected for how you want to play and provide the necessary tools.

Sadler has got this spot on in my view.

Horses for courses.

Anyone know how many tickets we’ve sold for the Bradford game?

When i got my tickets Wednesday we had sold just under 600, i should imagine we will take close to 1k

Be our best following there for a long time I should think, for some reason we never seem to travel well to Bradford.

Because nobody who’s been wants to go back to that freezing hole.

He’s got a way with words to ensure those who pay his wages get the message

They went on a fantastic run in the second half of last season and did exceptionally well - he calls that a failure…. What message does that send to his players who probably felt that they’d done amazingly well to get from a relegation spot to the play offs??

Basically, he’s a dick
