I hope he’s good.

Where does he play in midfield ? A holder I take it with his stats?

Decent pedigree, a midfielder, loans and appearances at this level and and higher. Not sure how he did at Salford last season.

He’s a holding midfielder

Oh great.

Can’t say I’m excited. Let’s see what he does.

Head Coach Mat Sadler is pleased to further boost his midfield options with a player of Warrington’s calibre.

“Lewis has got a really good pedigree,” Sadler said.

“He’s played a hell of a lot of games for a 22-year-old, most of them in the division above and some in the one above that.

“We wanted it to be permanent, we could have signed him on loan a few weeks back but we were trying as hard as we could to make it a permanent.

“I’m delighted for Lewis to come in, he adds real quality to the squad in that midfield area and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

Must have paid a fee for him I assume. Still had a year left on his contract.

We desperately needed a Stirk replacement and now we have it. Good experience and a good age. We couldn’t go into the season with only Comley playing there. I don’t care how good people think he’s looked in pre season, he been here two years now, nearly 30 and he’s awful. Sadler mentioned we could’ve signed him on loan a few weeks back but wanted to make it permanent but no mention of any fee or anything.

Looks like this could be a good signing, welcome Lewis.

Reading the club site, he seems a great signing.

But last season did not go well for him. He only started 4 games for Leyton Orient before being sent to Salford on loan in January.

He played for Salford against us as a defensive midfielder on 1 February, but was substituted at half-time. For Salford, he was in the squad for 20 games, starting 8, and came on as a substitute 8 times. He was not in the Salford starting eleven after the 5th March.

Informative interview from when he joined Salford

Although an Evertonian he admires Stevie G.

Well Stevie G was also an Evertonian.

Very impressed with this signing, young, permanent and experience in higher leagues and a CDM to compete with Comley.
