Liam Gordon did apologise to the Walsall fans after Wembley which was nice of him, I hope he does well but Vale don’t.
Will be interesting who comes in at left wing back or perhaps there will be some tactical rejigging and RAM plays on the left.
Either way we need some more assists from that side
I know we’re all going to have sour grapes that he’s left and gone to those knuckle dragging scumbags Fail.
I would have been happy if he’d stayed, not overly upset he’s gone, need someone to get the ball in the box at the end of the day for our centreforw…hang on a minute
Seriously, if Fail can get him to get that final ball sorted he will be sold on by them for a major profit.
As @Scooby2167 says, if we had got promoted things would of be so different, and players we had here, and of a higher standard would be in the squad next season.

Good luck to him and maybe he will go on to be better! I have a sneaky feeling that lowe will probably be a vale player too it’s local and league 1

Do you really think Stoke are going to loan a player to Port Vale.
Their fans would be up in arms.

I did find some of the Fail fans comments on Twitter amusing.
One was crowing about how Gordon wanted to go to them rather than play with a bunch of bottlers.
Errr… he was one of the bottlers, ya clown!

Evan Weir is not a direct replacement imo better as a LCB in a 5 or LB in a 4

Fk Vale.
Shall we inflate the Darrell Clark dogs?

Ouch.
Probably about right for his career. I don’t really see him as top level league one player. Playing for side scrapping against relegation about right, same as Liam Bennett.
The club needs to pull its finger out now as regular players are leaving so just signing prospects isn’t really going to cut it for much longer.
Need to get in some proven league two players over next few weeks otherwise it will not be a nice atmosphere at all for the first home game which will come round soon enough.

I’ve just raised a glass to him so won’t likely remember him tomorrow.

Should have had a bottle mate, would have been more apt.

I disagree. I don’t like him as much at CB but he will probably end up taking Taylor Allen’s role.
That’s a depressing thought.
Don’t get me wrong, he had some good games, Nott’s County away for one. He showed his flaws several times after that when he got his chance though. His positioning isn’t great and he tends to step out too quickly at times.
He is one that could improve though I guess, and I think that is where we are at for next season. I’m not expecting a promotion push.

Evan Weir got 4 assists out of 14 games compared to Liam Gordon 1 assist out of 47 games.
I think Evan Weir will have a opportunity

We have to wait and see what players we bring in before we start picking any teams.
I’d imagine so, I’d be happy for my thoughts to change but I don’t think Weir has the engine for wingback instead as a ball playing CB
I feel like I’m the only one here disappointed to see him leave.
For me he’s been a pretty consistent 7 to 8 out 10 perfomer and one of the few players we’ve had recently that’s been able or willing to take the opposition on and carry the ball through from defence to attack.
Oh well, good luck to him. Shame he’s gone to the Vale though.
