I think someone said they would like to get a better idea of the opposition prior to playing them so I’ve done a bit of breakdown of the Morecambe Squad and in green is who started in their last two friendlies. Probably some errors but it’s a starting point. I’d hazard a guess from purely looking at the squads that they may match us up with 3-5-2? Will be easier to do these once teams have played a few games and can put in predicted starting line ups. Let me know what else you would like to see as a preview for future games or if I’m wasting my time

They won’t need to be brilliant because Morecambe will have 70% of the ball so they’ll knock one in at some point.
This is something we need to address this coming season surely
It was so hard to watch us chasing the ball for 70 mins out the 90 all of last season
EDIT: it was more like 90 mins out of 90 as when we did have the ball, it was only lumped forward for a forward to chase anyway

I agree.I know possession isn’t the be all and end all but there’s a number somewhere between zero and one hundred where it becomes a bit of a joke that you hardly have the ball.The thing is that when we do have our turn with the bag of air it’s mostly spent passing it across our own back line which their forwards close down way better than ours do and we just end up lumping it forward.We are so one dimensional more often than not and the opponents have us worked out after 15 minutes of the game.And that felt like it happened almost every single week we played.

i was asking the poster I replied to what he thinks of Morecambes strike force compared to our, not looking at the stats but the players eyes who said he has been nosy mooching at Morecambe
Nothing to do with crods statistics post which i have also commented about reviewed and. there strikers score more than ours over the last couple of years so statistically more dangerous
