If the plan was to recall him, it would have been done by now, like Louie Barry – they wouldn’t want him here potentially getting injured.
Not to say it won’t happen, but I think the situation is more fluid.

I think there’s plenty of good signed, I don’t see Lowe leaving.
Leagues top scorer , and a championship medal, that would be an unbelievable experience for the lad.
Oh and we don’t want Draper at this moment in time, sounds like he’s out of form and low in confidence.
I think he’s as likely to leave as he is to stay, but I think if Stoke had a burning desire to recall, it would have happened by now.
As they have the whole month, they’re likely not in a rush to recall him unless they get desperate.
Stoke have bottom of the table Plymouth on Saturday and later this month play Portsmouth and Oxford who are down the bottom end of the table with Stoke.
Hopefully they get some good results which will keep them them from considering recalling him.
He is Stokes player the ball is in their court. Walsall have little or no say on Lowes future. Nathan himself will have some say and by all accounts he wants to stay here for the season but if Stoke want to recall him they will there is no point fretting about it. I am just so glad we have enjoyed him for 5 months if he stays until May wonderful. If not so be it we will have to win the league without him which i think we can.
Stoke wouldn’t want him until after 11th Jan as he is cup tied, they will make a decision after that date I reckon.
I think he has already qualified for a league winners medal as well. Isn’t it 10 games the qualifying mark?
We’ve just gone through a very intense Xmas
Program still in it actually .Stoke have a new manager not even taken charge properly as yet .seems to me
We will be taking to Robbins and Stoke over next week regarding Lowe and they will be having conversations with there player (Lowe ) and what’s best for Stoke and Nathan .early days yet I would have thought .I’m hopeful they will come to right decision .
Agreed @SaddleSoreMatt but he could easily get the golden boot (which he predicted when he signed) on top of a winner’s medal, if he stays.
What is really interesting is that his first contribution of the season was to miss a penalty! It was at a time in the season when we really struggled with penalty takers. But then he showed his class and grabbed a brace - not bad for a teenager!
Compare this to DJT, who made similar predictions (10 goals by Xmas) upon his arrival as a young loanee from Stoke.
I should also add, on the subject of Stoke, that I think David Okagbue is an excellent defender who has improved so much. He also appears to genuinely care about the club and he seems to enjoy playing for Walsall and getting the adulation of the supporters after a victory.
I actually like both Josh Gordon and DJT (they are OUR players after all); however, without borrowing Simkin and Lowe, I’m not sure we would be where we are in the table, today.
I’ll wish Nathan Lowe the very best whatever happens. He’s a fine footballer and an even better human being (I sound like Sadler don’t I?)
Just wobble you neck and yes you do .
He might have more coaching badges than me, but I have more letters on my badge!
Some more thoughts.
It’s only 4 months Robins, leave the lad be he’s flourishing.
Someone replying to the article comments:
“Bring Lowe back and send Tezgel in his place. It shouldn’t harm Walsall and may give Tezgel a much needed confidence boost.”
I could see that happening.
Robins would be cuckoo to recall him .
Can’t see Leicester being in the market for anyone, let alone Lowe…
I don’t want to crow, but I believe Lowe will do better with the Saddlers than he will at Stoke at the moment. He’s flying with us: this is no time for a swift exit back to Stoke.
Yes, he scored against the Magpies, so he must be at the front of the pecking order to play against the Robins.
I’d say that explains even more a case of why they may be looking at signing someone like Nathan. He’s not exactly going to be costing millions upon millions like a premier league ready player would, especially English. This way you buy him relatively cheap with all things considered loan him out for a couple of seasons and then if he’s successful potentially quadruples the value payed, this then is the perfect way of beating the PSR restrictions there potentially under. May be miles off with this but was just a thought
