How is the owl?

Because it was, as was Draper.

Unfortunately, they can be recalled during a transfer window.

DJ actually was a 6 month loan, which is pretty rare during the summer window.

Reaffirming what those of us who saw his insipid performances in 1999-2000 already knew - Mark Robins is a complete throbber.

Up there with some of the best loan signings we’ve had - looks so effortless and will leave Stoke for better things.

We will have prepared for this - Derrick Osei Yaw or Justin Shaibu’s glorious return!

Very sad to see Nathan go back but not unexpected.
It has been a pleasure to watch him play and he’s played a massive part in helping us get where we are currently.
All the best in your career and hopefully you will finish up a premiership legend.

3rd season in a row now this has happened. It’s about time we sign a striker that is prolific that’s actually ours.

Well I think they should stop announcing season long loans in future. It’s misleading.

And in other news grass is green

Was patently obvious it was gonna happen

Be thankful that a) we had the pleasure of seeing him play and b) we are in the strongest position I can ever remember in a January

One of the greatest signings this club has ever made.

Incredible talent that has contributed so much to us being so close to a automatic promotion.

Makes no sense unless he goes straight into their team

Thanks Nathan. It has been a privilege to see you develop here. We will watch your career with interest and I know we all will wish you well for the future. When you are in the Premiership I hope you will spare a thought for Walsall FC and what you did here. Best wishes.

We will have been in constant communication with Stoke over this and will have planned for it.

Gutted, but let’s get the replacement in. Massive shoes to fill but I trust the people behind the scenes to get it right.

Stoke fans on Facebook not happy about it.

Trivela really do have to replace him - properly.

For me, they should be bold and get in a striker permanently who is ready for league one too.

I really, really hope we don’t mess this up.

Saying that, given the last 12 months - I have confidence Trivela will sort it. They surely knew this was likely to happen.

Anyone else notice how he turned to wave to the main stand when he came off?

Thanks for everything Nathan.

Just hope that Stoke look after him and don’t mess him around. Got a feeling a big money bid has come in for him as I don’t see him being part of the Stoke side this year - they play one up front and they already have a bunch of good strikers - including Tezgel.

I know this happens every year but I can’t blame Walsall for this one. We rolled a die on a 19 year old and he surpassed everyones expectations.

Fully believe Trivela will replace him.

Not wishing the lad anything but the best, but if Robins decision backfires and he bombs back at Stoke (like Draper did after going back to Lincoln) then that might bring his transfer fee down a bit and bring him into our price range for next season in L1?

There are plans in place but we need someone for next Saturday now so the plans need to be put into action quickly.

They they just buy them off us, be nicer if we could develop our own version of Lowe.

I hope we sign another outstanding loan player every 6 months for the next 10 years to be honest. If they are as enjoyable as they have been!
