What a midfield that was, with Shakey too. Mini is sadly no longer with us but Gary Childs is. I had forgotten he went to Birmingham from us then Buckley signed him up for Grimsby where he did great things.
Gary Childs is sports development manager at Grimsby college of further education and we all know where Shakey is.
‘Charlie’ Childs left his job at the Grimsby College on March 23rd this year after a position he had held for 18 years. He is now involved in new ventures at Gravity ( a trampoline and leisure park ) and Newton’s ( a New York theme bar ) and in recent times has been involved in property so he is branching out a bit.
