They had 17% of play in their attacking half all game.
Love the way he has high expectations of himself and bemoans the fact he hasn’t got a hattrick yet! Also interesting to hear him say they knew they were poor first half and players rather than Sadler does the talking and how to improve 2nd half,
This was a post match interview that should have focused on the game and result he obviously didn’t want to do that so turned it into the the style and method he is trying to develop and play and obviously that was a failure in terms of performance and result today ,which he just didn’t want to acknowledge.the interviewer let him get away with that .should have asked him more directly about the actual game and failure to make any real goal opportunities .just a ramble from him on his philosophy and coaching .of which the fan base aren’t to impressed with either .
Absolutely- the manager is miffed his team has had so much of the ball, looked good at times and come away with the square root of fook all .
Do your homework pal . This is what we do .
Comes across so well and seems like a great lad - just hope he’s staying with us to see this season through as he deserves the plaudits he’ll undoubtedly get if he does…
We need to strengthen in January regardless of Lowe going or staying, especially the midfield as I think our man of glass Earing may be out for a spell and Hall going back to brum, let’s not rest on our laurels and do the business to show we mean business.
100% . In a position of strength you kick on - it’s the best time to do it .
Another Midfielder and Draper if we can keep what we have would do me
Newport not dissimilar to Doncaster in that their approach was careful and measured but overly reliant on finding a wonder pass to actually open us up. Unfortunately for them they didn’t have that, and it reflects in how little they created with greater possession.
I can see why they’ve scored well, and why they’re just as prone to conceding, their manager bemoaning our aesthetic just highlights how his team couldn’t beat what we do and how well we do it.
What made Newport a tougher opponent than Donny was that they really got into us, targeting the fullbacks and Jellis in particular. Their 14 was particularly ferocious and looked a good player.
But, as mentioned above, we’re all about problem solving. Again we took the momentum away in the second half and out-pressed them before our subs, the introduction of McEntee in particular, tipped the game in out favour. But at no point in the 90 were we ever under the cosh or struggling to contain.
We adapt, we control, and for the moment at least, we win.
UTS
Unfortunately lowe hasn’t got a say, if they call him back he goes back
Let’s hope not
All that possession and look at the goal stats…
If the opposition manager wants to moan then he should be moaning at his players who did nothing with the ball they had.
Crawley did it against us in the League cup 2019 and we couldn"t handle it. Absolutely destroyed us with that tactic on the counter.
This is getting silly now…
12 points clear with a game in hand over most teams.
I can feel the headache from the promotion party at Crewe already.
You Reds.
Managers are sacked too easily nowadays and so in fear of losing their jobs they feel they have to put a spin on a defeat. In the good old days when managers stayed at clubs for years on end and had more job security you got more honest reviews. It’s embarrassing the absolute bo***cks some mangers have come up with this year when clearly we are walking the league.
It’s hard to see but the first goal takes a deflection off Newport 14 Whitmore
Not sure that matters Andy. .It was a good team goal.
Not taking anything away from that @WalsallOne, but probably wouldn’t have gone in without the deflection.
I’m only mentioning it because it is not clear. I had to watch a few times and slow the video down to spot it.
