Hoping for another home win  this could be Nathan’s farewell game, a few will be looking at his body language for clues.

So weird going into games as favourite constantly x

But not as weird as then actually going on to win the game which I think we will do again today.

Is the Railway club open today? Looks like I will be getting to Walsall earlier than planned.

Can’t recall what times but I saw a post the other day saying it was

@Blazing_Saddler posted this on the Doncaster thread

Looks like another good crowd (for us).

We had 6,400 of our own fans there on Boxing Day. Reckon we’ll be 700 down today which with say 350 Newport might just get us over 6,000.

Which is OK. But if you’re Trivela might worry you a bit. We couldn’t be doing any better on the pitch. Top of the league by some margin and in a very rich vein.

In mitigation, second game in four days with no bundling up pricing incentive if you go to both makes it an expensive do at a time of year when other things might take spend priority.

But 6,000 these days is very very average 4th division (a poorly performing Tranmere get this) and I hope Trivela don’t see it as a ceiling rather another staging post on the upward journey.

I have no idea what the score will be but I am taking my carrier bag in case of a late winner or equaliser.

Meaningless in terms of our current position, but old habits die hard … early kick-off

Carlisle Utd 1 Accrington Stanley 0 (11 min) … EDIT … now 2-0 (54 min)

Time for a nap before the main event… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I know we should be clear favourites, but 10-1 for a Newport win is crazy odds - especially since Newport have shown they can score goals.

Our run can’t continue forever, so at some point we’ll have to slip up. Add in Cameron Norman and Michael Flynn both with points to prove, those odds look interesting enough to tempt me to have a little flutter!

I think it’s just the ceiling of league two crowds for us.

Substitute Newport, Barrow and Fleetwood (for example) For Huddersfield, Barnsley and Wigan - and I think you’d see bigger crowds. Some of the games in this division are just appalling.

I would be disappointed if we did go up and we didn’t put an extra 1500 on the core 5000. That’s up to Ben and Trivela to market us - and push on next season. Not tempting fate though!

Norman? Flynn ? The former plays for Tranmere and Flynn manages Cheltenham. We will be meeting them both soon but not today.

I think you are right on the gates. People also still need to be convinced about us after almost 2 decades of mediocre football.

If this is Nathan’s last game for us hope he gets a hat trick but really hope it’s not his last and he still gets the hat trick. U T S.

Same team, same bench.

Hopefully same result.
