It’s been quite enjoyable reading this thread actually
This made the walk home from the Boldmere tap very amusing
My other issue is that sadler was so relying on RoKs support how will he cope going alone of with an assistant not to the same level or as strong willed
Sadler to me doesn’t seem the type to fight his corner and I worry that when things go to pot ( which they always will ) he will crumble
I’m obsessive
And you count your likes
Brilliant
Yes I did because people like you make someone feel they are all bad. All wrong. That’s not the case. Look at some of my posts and how many likes they get!!!. Goodnight
Yeah, you add loads to this forum.
Goodnight.
At the very least, you’ve done wonders for the site traffic.
Needs another badge if proved correct tomorrow.
How about a “Gives Good Rumour” badge.
Saddler Could be the next Dean Smith or the next Brian Dutton we just dont… lets give the bloke a chance before ridiculing him im sure he will be given support from trivela. Micky Flynn and Clarke both come with a good reputation but failed to achieve anything. with Sadler there is no ego or baggage.
What I’m saying is I just don’t get the constant picking on me. There are plenty of people who think the takeover is just a land grab and Trivelas aims are not genuine. Start to pick on them. They are pretty easy to identify!!!
Worthy of a commemorative carrier bag if this ones true.
We’ll do a commemorative pin badge for charity if he’s right.
If Mat persuaded Richard to come out of retirement to help him for a couple of weeks, who knows who else he has on his contact list that he could bring to the club to assist him on the touchline.
Seems to be a similar approach that Tranmere have taken, they appointed Ian Dawes and their fans were fuming, then they appointed Neil Danns as a coach and Nigel Adkins as Director of Football and their fans are happy.
Those images with that sailor were obviously posted because he knows he is talking a load of ship.
Dons tin hat
If it is Sadler, then i’m happier it is him than Philips, Deeney and Collins. He has things in his favour, (knowing the club, players and restraints working for Walsall FC comes with).
In all honesty, I have no idea who my preferred choice would have been. This is due to the fact we’ve explored what feels like all avenues since relegation and none have been a success. Would a ‘name’ with experience have been the best choice? Maybe, but if our board stays as it is, then nothing will change on the green stuff as whoever has the job, their hands are tied.
Time will tell if this is a ticking time bomb or not. It’ll depend on who is appointed on his coaching team to support.
One last thing, we are a L2 football club. I really don’t think that Matt Jordan is the man to be advising transfers and choosing personel. If he is going to be the main man with Sadler being more of a head coach than manager, i’m more worried about this.
Hopefully all of our questions are answered in a dozen or so hours.
According to @WestieJack our new manager’s name can be found by deciphering this image…
Appointing any manager is a risk, but i fear Sadler is a bigger risk than we needed to take, especially with the trap door of relegation to non league looming. Having said that, we did play a lot more attractive football after Flynn left, so Sadler needs and deserves support from the board and us, the supporters (if thats what we are). But i admit, it doesnt inspire much confidence and smacks of the cheap option.
Or nobody was mad enough to come. I havent got a problem with Sadler personally. Clean slate, no baggage with other clubs, give the bloke a chance
There’s people who’ll write him off from the start, but they’d do that regardless unless it’s their personal favourite. If he’s the cheap option but walks the talk that’s a bonus - more money for the playing budget. Can’t see him being awful, to be honest, with the right back-up, and the right players. Think half the issue is the type of players. There’s the sort who thrive in a mate’s club, and the sort who like to be in a virtual classroom being led. Don’t know what sort of taskmaster Sadler is but he needs to surround himself with the right sort of player to make it work. Stats may point to the prospects, but the personality matters.
