I suppose we’ll know nothing regarding our budget until a few more signings are announced, and by that I mean by the quality of the signings, then we will see if the club have cut back on wages of staff that have been deemed to have underperformed possibly, to enhance the quality of players that we turn out on the pitch for the new season.

Thats it mate the Football is the most important thing and unless profits from these other things like the locker and the freehold purchase make us more competitive on the green stuff i couldn’t give a monkeys i want a decent team that’s pushing for or achieving promotion from this crap division the jury is still out on that for me and unless there is a big improvement this season the fans will soon turn you can see it coming a mile off.They have done plenty off the pitch now its time to see something on it they’ve been here two years now.
I have my doubts too don’t get me wrong , but there are subtle improvements which give me hope.
For a start we could play a game tomorrow if we had a keeper. How many summers have we said that…
And we ain’t gonna be a dumping ground for the likes of cashman, flynn, osei yaw etc. Those crappy signings are long gone.
If we were budget cutting would we have given DJT another contract just to send him on loan? Doubt it.

Exactly I think some folk think he’s come cheap from non league like it’s 1980.
Hell be on a nice wage for sure and a mandatory fee to be paid. No way in hell were we the only team after him.

In the context of this topic, if we were penny pinching why would we pay him when we have made him unavailable until Xmas.
So called venture capitalists would not do that, if they were cost cutting.
I don’t think that Trivela are Venture Capitalists, in its true form. They are just investors, looking to build a brand and a portfolio of clubs.

I’m not an investment expert but it makes no sense if they budget cut and throttle us as some think is the plan. They are looking at 20 year returns imo.
Even if not much has changed short term with rent replaced by mortgage. Infact I think they see football as an investment when it comes to players. Plenty to be made and potentially siphered. We will see clearer if we sell someone for a few quid I.e Hutchinson. But younger players will always the plan now, we aren’t gonna be signing expensive pros like Wrexham.
I find it bizzarre some intent on finding conspiracies when one does not exist. No one was ever gonna buy Walsall as a fairytale experiment with F U money.

“So called supporters” is always an interesting opener.
But I think what you’re saying is “stop guessing at stuff because I’ve had a guess and I think my guess is better than your guess”.
If us lot guessing at stuff/“talking rubbish” in the ongoing communication vacuum the club creates is enough to “destabilise” it, then the very foundations upon which the club is built must be extremely weak.
In fact your suggestion that a load of amateurs on an antiquated message board could “destabilise” the club then you are asserting that the club is extremely fragile.
I do wish people would stop talking the club down.
