Just got home and I really thought this would be my first game I see us lose away against a Nottingham team and they prove me wrong once again. What an insane result . F**king love this team. Result of the season today for me. Absolutely buzzing.
There’s hospitality seats available. Not that pricey. They put a link on twitter
A super result which looked miles away at half time. Playing Albert up front did not work and our midfield was ineffective in the first half. On another day it could have been out of sight by half time.
Credit to Sadler for doing what was required with McEntee and Matt who were superb both individually and by allowing others to shine in a quality second half. Weir was quality and his pass for the winner was pure gold but what made it better was the killer instinct of Lowe. It was a real strikers goal.
Matt seems to be getting better and better and more crucial to the way we play.
Well done to all who went it was great to watch and what a way to start the new year. Our run of results over the last couple of months has been great.
It was a 100% penalty when Matt was hauled down. The ref bottled that one.
UP THE SADDLERS
Cannon fodder. 12 points top of the league.
Unbelievable post.
A team is a balance of workers and creators.
This teams balance is perfect and it should not change.
I favour DJ (creator) over Gordon (worker) but I also favour winning and promotion. So you can calm down. If Sadler deems Gordon plays the next twenty games no complaints.
Any left in the home end? Could land in the block just to the right of the away end
Enough of us they’ll just give it us I’d imagine
What was pleasing was how the management recognised the problem bought McEntee and Jamma on , changed the system so Jellis played ahead of the two 6’s to shut the space down and we pressed so much better hence more chances created and 3 points .
Sadler on the window: ‘The most important thing for me is keeping everyone together’.
Not a very Bonser-like sentiment for January, that!
Absolutely superb day and result. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a difference between a first and second half in any match. We were absolutely dominated first half and should have been 3-0 down. I knew Sadler would make changes and we might improve a bit but I was shocked at the level of us second half in a half we totally dominated especially considering how tired we looked first half. Sadler proving again he is a master at half time team talks.
Special mention to Weir with a ridiculous clearance and pin point cross for the goal. Mentions also to Stirk who was solid throughout, Matt who was excellent and McEntee who played like a man possessed.
Brilliant support from the fans throughout and after such a horrible decade we are appreciating such a great season. UTS
I have to say though on the transfer window that we are in an unprecedented position this time around so if we didn’t sign anyone and we did just manage to keep this squad together it wouldn’t bother me at this moment in time. That said if we do get someone in I think we need a replacement for Hall’s midfield positivity but I’d rather not get anyone than bring players in that may upset the current squad which could end up with us losing this unbelievable momentum.
I totally agree on that. I’d love us to sign a couple of players, but no complaints if we don’t (as long as we don’t lose anyone).
Our recruitment has been spot on so we have to trust that they know what they’re doing.
We also have to consider that we’re a league 2 side and next season may need league 1 players who we could struggle to get right now as they wouldn’t want to be stuck in league 2 if the wheels came off this season.
i thought weir had a great game, however a poor first half (despite his immense goal line clearance) - the three balls through came down his side and i don’t think he held his ground as Allen would do.
He had a great game, but i don’t think it should be a question of who starts (yet)
brilliant win
UTS
Weir was both class and awful at the same time imo
No doubt he is quality on the ball but really poor with balls put into space around him
Playing Stirk infront of McEntee ( let alone Comley, Browne or Lakin) has been crazy.
We are cruising this league with basically a team of 10 performers and one passenger.
What is your issue with Stirk
You obviously don’t know a thing about football
Stirk has been one of the best players week in , week out
Trolling at its finest
Browne is a defender you numpty!
Not sure, but I know that Bears shit in the woods, if that helps?
