I’m not sure what our plan is if we rest Barrett. I don’t see Adomah as a straight swap for him as Uncle Albert’s strengths are between the midfield and forward areas on the right side of the pitch rather than in defensive duties - a right sided winger - whereas Barrett’s a right sided defender who can get forward. To me they have different strengths.

Actually, that is a partnership I could totally see holding their own as part of a back 4. We’d never change, and shouldn’t at this point considering results so far, but that would be an interesting partnership.
It’s been a while since we have had defenders capable of that though. Even Daniels is clearly more comfortable in a 3, even at the peak of his performance. If we ever did need to go more aggressive or have a plan B, I wouldn’t mind seeing that.

Pleased for DJT and I don’t see too much of a problem with this - although I for one won’t be in the locker to congratulate him - it’s Walsall I care about.
