What Difference Does It Make if the club make a statement today or in a few weeks time?

I like this one every summer. It’s just fans being hysterical and not that the club are making some pretty questionable decisions, or lack there of (again). Put this one in the Copy and Paste bank too.

For example, technically DJ does not become a free agent until 30th June so even if it’s a done deal that he comes back here it probably won’t be announced until after then.

I always like when people pretend this is the truth and the reason signings haven’t been announced, despite free agents up and down the country being announced as signed for different clubs because it’s not even close to reality

I’m not annoyed (yet) by the lack of signings but lets not just make up excuses too.

As I’ve said before, plenty of things that could be improved upon but making things up or being negative just for the sake of it? Life is too short!

I’m not annoyed (yet) by the lack of signings but lets not just make up excuses too.

I am annoyed! The perception that having to wait to announce signings gives is one of only getting the cast-offs that no one else wants! There, little ole Smallsall waits to pick up the crumbs from the transfer table while the big boys like Barrow (!!) fill their boots (literally!). In the meantime, any riches we might have are taken away from us by the bully boys with deeper pockets than us. It’s so depressing supporting this club, there’s eff all to lift the spirits. Who knows, it might all change in the next few days and we might be drooling over a couple of cracking signings…. But I very much doubt it!

We released around 12-13 players in May - there is no sign yet of any replacements. Call me impatient but I’d like to see at least one signing. Perhaps sacking Flynn was a bad idea, given that he said he was well advanced with planning for this season. I’m beginning to wonder if Sadler’s book of contacts has got many pages in it!

That particular poster has been willing the club to fail for some time now. Seems to have a personal axe to grind with Pomlett.

I won’t lie and say I’m not concerned for the club at the moment. I voted ‘not confident’ in the recent poll, but for now I’m just waiting to see how things oan out over preseason.

Careful, you are being a tad negative, you know this is NOT ALLOWED on any UTS threads!
We should all be jumping for joy at the brave new modern era of Trivela, things will be shaken up, things will improve, we have all seen such monumental improvements all round, we have a great new squad with a great new (old) manager. In the meantime lets allow the old Board that has overseen a gradual decline in the clubs history carry on as normal. Failure being their byword, nevertheless they have always posted a small profit, after all ‘we are a well run club’. Now that we are in the 80’s we will see how things ‘should’ be run. Can’t wait, why should we worry…

You’ve got the Happy Clappers at one end of the spectrum and the Negative Ninnies at the other end. Thankfully both extreme fringes appear to be in the minority.

Most Walsall fans are somewhere in the middle.

It’s certainly not easy following the saddlers that’s for sure.
I can see both sides of the debate as regards players coming in, and coaching staff for that matter.
I suppose the bottom line is we are just going to have to wait and see.
I get it that it may be difficult to announce new signings however, a lot of clubs in our league
appear to be getting people in and it does lend itself to the concern we will be left scraping the proverbial.
My personal worry is we will bring a lot of new faces in then it will be they need time to gel (understandable)
The fans will get restless and round and round we go.
It would lift spirits if we could hear something instead of silence.
