Play Offs

You discretely knock you ball into the woods and disappear to look for it .why do you think we have a towel hanging from our golf bag .

There are some highlights of that game knocking about. At the game, I thought the same, felt like it was never in danger. Preston had some great chances in the last 20 and if one had gone in, well…

It’s not done yet, I agree. I doubt we will do it the easy way.

Not a single home win in any of the first legs. Two draws, four away wins.

More disturbingly When was our last home win?!

It’s conceivable we could get promoted having not won at home since we beat Chesterfield months ago.

I posted this earlier:

I just didn’t think it would happen in the playoff semi final - yet here it is won 0-2 with 25.9% possession, and Chesterfield never looked at the races.( Other than letting Simkin show us what a great keeper he is on a few occasions)

Would epitomise this season if we make it past Chesterfield, only to fail in the Final to a 97th minute goal - ultimate heartbreaking end, to the ultimate heatbreaking season!

Matty Stevens scoring that doomsday goal!

Famous last words but a better final opponent would be Wimbledon than Notts imo.

Perhaps wiser to debate after Friday

Very true.

Don’t Nott’s and Wimbledon play before us?

Either way, best not count any chickens just yet. Been there, done that.

Weirdly not, they play Saturday, so get more rest from their match on previous Saturday, we only get 4 days between matches. Bit bizarre that!

They should have played yesterday evening after us so would still have a bit more rest time but not much. As it was Forest played Sunday so the game was moved to Saturday as you know.

Of course, forgot about that, thanks Poloman

So we are now the favourites to win the playoffs? (not sure I like that)?

  • Walsall. 11/8.
  • AFC Wimbledon. 6/4.
  • Notts County. 7/1.
  • Chesterfield. 9/1.

Hills still have Wimbledon slight favourites.

I would say County are my favourites. I think they claw the game back against Wimbledon and Wembley will suit their style of play.

Lump on.

Their main striker is suspended for the rest of the season, and McGoldrick limped off against Wimbledon, so not sure

Our main striker just renewed his family Merlin pass and the other one is about as mobile as Stonehenge
