Players of the season

He was a good player in his first season and missed when injured . His gone do get backwards i actually prefer Dave

Just decided only option is to CANCEL end of season event, it is an insult to the fans that travel to the likes of Barrow and back to watch that shite to ask “who is the tallest of our dwarves”

Is the awards night still on tomorrow?

Wow, only happy clappers involved one assumes.

Actually, Taylor Allen deserves POTS and, as weird as this season has been, he is one of the better candidates over the years.

He is one of my favourite players, from any generation.

Local lad.
Gives everything.
Fantastic left peg.
Proved the doubters wrong.

Shows that it is not all about signing players on extortionate wages because it is the only reason that they’d play at league two level.

When I think about why I support Walsall FC, it is because of footballers like Taylor Allen.

Martin O’Connor, Jimmy Walker, Dean Keates, Kyle Lightbourne, Tom Bradshaw … all players who didn’t cost a fortune, weren’t holding the club to ransom and just wanted to play games, give their all and show the supporters that they were good footballers and were grateful for the opportunity to show how much it meant to represent the club, the supporters and the Walsall community.

I was at the side ready to go on the pitch when we heard Bradford scored. After the final whistle whilst other players were hanging their heads (understandably) Taylor Allen was straight over banging his chest shouting 3 more games like a mad man (in a good way). We need to keep him, he is important.

Won’t be here next year imo. Fantastic footballer at this level  :ok_hand:

I though the reaction from Walsall fans yesterday at the end was good, considering the heartbreak. Could have gone the other way.

I didn’t notice Sadler come over though, although both my kids were crying so I was more focused on them than the pitch.

He came across the pitch from what I could see but not too close to the sidelines….. perhaps deliberate I don’t know…

Player of the season is a no contest for me, Taylor Allen.
Gives it everything even if he is not at his best from time to time.
Local lad who has had to deal with his own personal tragedy and yet still took to the pitch, not once did he hide or shirk his responsibility.
A young man who against the odds broke through held his place and wears the shirt with pride.
Fantastic young man who Trivela have to do whatever it takes to keep him and in fact I’d go further and say build the future around him.

I agree completely. I’d add a few more: Colin Taylor, Kenny Mower, Charlie Ntamark, Mark Rees, Stan Bennett…

Yes, quite a few of that vintage because squads were not changed at the end of each season and no Bosman. Frank Gregg, Nick Athey, Ken Hodgkinson…

Add Ray Train!

Walked about halfway across, then towards the opposite end clapping the fans, looked devastated.

It’s his own fault he looks devastated.

I wonder if he had been a little more arsed instead of this nonchalant nonsense we’ve had the last 3 months; the players might have responded.

Sadler out.

If he stays a few more years, Allen could well become a club legend.

Nice to see Nathan Lowe here tonight

Taylor Allen hands down.

Big Dave has been - for his age - really good for the most part, always gets a foot in.

Jellis and Matt were both superb until January then average after that.
