Plymouth Argyle (A) 24th Aug, 3pm

That one from Norman was a bit embarrassing

There’s an emoji for that

Jeez
Nearly 1-1

And again

Two good efforts from Adebayo

Who ‘nearly’ scored then, that OG fella? He’s our No.1 striker!!

Listening on WM…having lots of the play but no cutting edge. Adebayo causing trouble for them. The 2 who come in must be able to add some skill and finishing prowess to our team.

Adebayo with two good efforts

1-0 at half time. Only Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City are leading, all other League 2 games level. We are currently 18th in the table as things stand…

Gordon can shoot from distance, shocking. Rest becomes so customary. Solid in defence, except that one moment, quite toothless in attack (despite Ade and Gordon worked very hard; Ayew scored nice goal, but not in this game). Free kicks turned to something dangerous for opponent? You’re kidding, ay it? It looks like one team won’t score, second maybe. Second half should be better. Simply because it can’t be worse or same as first.

Anyone see where the PROGRESS in Work in Progress is because I can’t??

■■■■■ half that. Totally unacceptable. Win lose or draw it needs to be much better second half.

Could be worse… they have managed to get behind the defence too easily and send in low crosses… hence 1-0 down.
Not much idea going forwards … though at the end of this half Adebayo had two good efforts.
As for free kicks and corners may as well let an Argyle player take them.
So far I’m not impressed

Whilst I was content to wait a few more games if there were signs of improvement - that is clearly not happening. Lord knows what they do on the training ground - clearly no defensive work or practising set pieces.

Clarke out - a non-league manager and that’s exactly where he is taking us.

The guy couldn’t successfully rotate himself out of bed let alone rotate the starting line-up properly. Pathetic.

Every single Rovers fan warned us about a slow start…hence I remain patient. Big moment will be the signings before deadline day.

We support Walsall, a club that has been run into the ground over the last few seasons. It’s not going to change in the first 5 games of a new season.

I do question why it should be acceptable to start slowly?
Seems a bit of a “manage expectations” statement.
Surely, the slower you start the harder it’s going to be?

We’re no better than last week so far.

Only bright sparks are isolated to good individual work, namely from Adebayo.

Wingbacks, particularly CCM, need to do a lot more offensively if this formation is to work.

Personally I’d hook CCM or a CB for McDonald and have him run the wing.
