Port Vale (A) 7 Dec 3pm

Doesn’t matter where we are in the league or what’s going on off the pitch… I always enjoy Vale away. Proper old ground, great away end and we have a good record there.

Following was excellent, if a lot lower than normal (655). Anyone know what that fight was about at kick-off? There was a lot of blood.

Let’s hope this is a turning point. I really hope we don’t lose McDonald. Wish I’d have had a tenner on Adebayo to score, I reckon I could have paid for tonight’s drinks and then some.

UTS.

Cannot fault the results of the last four weeks. Won five in the last eight, defence seems to be getting back to the form it was earlier in season and nine points off play offs.

Keep picking up points until January, strengthen in the window and kick on from there.

In Darrell we trust.

Hopefully that’s put a cork in the (Clarke out brigade)
People are to quick to hit the panic button

One win? Come on mate. Hope we stick with him but let’s not be calling anyone disillusioned too quick to hit the panic button.

Don’t think that’s a very fair assessment at all I think people had every right to be worried it’s a good run of results but they haven’t turned into the Liverpool squad overnight we all want what’s best for our club but I’m still not convinced by a lot of these players they’re getting better though I’ll give you that let’s keep winning football matches and see where we end up at the end of the season

I hope the club appreciate my nephews and my effort today. Both of us had bad colds before we went. Now we have something akin to double pneumonia. I’ve just got of the car and straight to bed shaking like billyo! Whacked eleci blanket up to max (don’t knock em kids) but still shaking like a nun at a penguin shoot.

Funniest thing on Radio Stoke was Vale manager saying the home crowds singing was the best this season!

Farewell.

Cracking result. Feared a tonking today.

First half was woeful. If I’d been Clarke I would have knocked on Vale’s dressing room door and asked if they fancied taking the 0 - 0 and all go home there and then.

Adebayo was little more than useless most of the game. Looks for all the world to me like someone who’s never watched, let alone played, football before. Fair play for his goal, hopefully it installs a bit of self belief.

I thought we saw out the game well. Could it be the start of the elusive change in our fortunes?

I understand that but there was people on this site, calling for him to be sacked after the defeat to oxford even though we were 5 unbeaten at the time, yeah it’s been a disappointing first half of the season, but surely fans need to give this new regime abit of time, after all we are still only 9 points of play offs.

Just back home. What a great feeling it is to win away especially at Vale.
First half was awful from both sides but the goal opened the game up a lot.
The whole defence were superb today but we were dreadful whilst in possession and constantly gave the ball away.
A smaller away following than we would normally take to Burslem but we didn’t stop singing throughout.
Oh what fun it is to see the Walsall win away!

Love beating them. Love beating them at their place more.

Wasn’t the best quality and I’m not sure either side created a stick on chance other than the goal.

Which says a lot for how well we defended but also says a lot about our creativity. To be fair, McDonald tormented them all afternoon and no surprise he had a key hand in the goal.

Sinclair ad Kinsella brilliant without the ball but Kinsella in particular was careless with it.

But hey a win away at Vale. Lovely.

:musical_score:Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all they way…

People go on like hes clueless, clarke hasn’t got all them promotions under his belt by luck. Even though sometimes it’s hard to see any method in some of his decisions. But I like his unpredictability and his ruthlessness to change things when things ain’t working

And all your points are valid ones but we don’t have to turn the clock back that far and it was all doom and gloom I think I myself even wrote that I couldn’t see where our next point was gonna come from then we all sit in our living rooms listening to DC’s post match interviews slating players in view of the public it was a right old mess I’m sure you’ll agree. Its been a fantastic run of results and all just in time to ADD more players to strengthen the team I really hope we carry this on playoffs would be amazing let’s see what happens :+1:t2:

I think that’s the sixth time an opposition player has been sent off against us this season - seems unusually high.

Yeah great to get a win it certainly puts you in a better mood for a Saturday evening celebratory drink. We have had a lot to put up with over the last year…so just enjoy these moments and long may we continue on the upward curve.

Can someone put the dc post match interview on again please I can never find it?

I think people have missed something here I personally don’t think it’s a coincidence that since chunkster bumped into DC at a local Greggs our fortunes have changed for the better very strange

I am distraught! He should have been the first name I thought of. Please accept my sincere apologies. In future I shall think harder. I suppose you could say that I dropped the ball there, which is rather fitting. :grinning:
