Would be a perfect time for it to turn.
Sadler will pick the same team as Tuesday, the bench might be different with Hall and Wheatley
Only Hall i reckon.
Can’t see Wheatley being included because the only player he replaces would be Johnson and after Tuesday you cant not have him on the bench.
Be nice to get close to 9k again for this one. Given the scale of the game and their 2k sales, it should be possible. Lower and middle tiers are nearly sold out already.
Sales were at 7250 yesterday
Surely we’ll have 6k home fans there at an absolute minimum.
Presumably that includes the Port Vale, sell out?
Yes, 1950 from Vale.
Huge game, come on you Saddlers!!!
Bert Llewellyn also played for both.
oooh mate, in no way am i saying conceeding is on him. I think hes got a great future with us. I just think hes had a lot of games and his decsion making has been tested a bit. He is not the only reason weve become a bit leaky. Stirk also isnt helped in that he is left alone in the middle a LOT. JJ and whoever is there are constantly pushing forward, but it means theres no support for stirk.
You dont need support to make a lukewarm tackle and continuous misplaced passes. Plus numerous wrong positions
Hope to be there on Saturday but at the moment feel like I’ve been kicked in the guts by a cart horse. UTS
Should be a pretty tight game due to the importance to both us and the bog makers. Looking at their recent results they do not concede many of late.
A fingers crossed 2-1 to Walsall with a Allen thunderbolt in front of the blue pop end to win it.
Hard to call this on current form easy Vale win but every team wins eventually even on a bad run must be due a win by now. I hope the players know how much this game means to the fans and do not want to be remembered as the team who lost to Vale and let them go top
Can’t call it
I’m worried about Karma as we won at their place with the help of the weather.
But - we are their bogey side and the curse of Buckley shall remain on them forever.
Two sets of noisy fans
Both teams coming back into form and scoring late goals with never say die attitudes.
The ref may be the difference - so here’s hoping for a good ref
It will all be decided in the last five minutes of added time.
I sense that in the last few months, as we were of the boil, we ran into a string of teams in running into form: Cheltenham, Grimsby, Swindon, Bradford and now Vale. I hope and feel that we have turned the corner and some resolve has returned.
Got my ticket and I’m really looking forward to this…and I’m really dreading it at the same time!
Please please please lads just go out and batter them and make it a nice easy watch…but that’s not gonna happen is it, its going to be a heart stopping, nerve shredding ,sphincter squeezing 90 odd minutes.
Don’t care though, as long as we win.
UTS.
With respect and whilst I’m still a bit nervous about this one - you’re casting the net back to early January with that bunch… our more recent form is lots of draws most of the way so maybe (as others have commented) our tide has turned a bit and we’ve got a bit more about us right now….
Cheltenham was the end of February. Grimsby and Swindon were in March. I’d also add Colchester who were just starting a hot streak when we played them and Bromley were on one.
Not an excuse but I said before, we do seem to be running into teams just as they are in form.
I’m not sure our tide has turned just yet. We played well at Doncaster but we were good enough to win at Carlisle, Gillingham and Bromley but didn’t. Our last 3 home games we haven’t been great at all.
All counts for nothing anyway tomorrow. Just need to find a way to win and we are on the brink of promotion.
