Pre Season Friendlies 2024

Seen a few moans online about the prices can understand it if you have a couple of kids with you thats 27 quid for a friendly game.

Certainly with The Villa under Stevie G they were incredibly generous and let us keep all of the takings that year. Bit sure now Blues are struggling in the division above us how generous they will be.

Last friendly I went to was Hibernian at Fellows park!. That was a great day out. Anyone else remember the Rangers fans turning up?

I ain’t paying £17 to see a friendly lol that’s rediculous!

The Villa friendly is usually 80% Villa fans anyway. They will pay it and probably see it as a bargain compared to prem prices.
Prices are crazy everywhere. Solihull Moors want £12 for the friendly against us. National league v League 2.
I went to a gig in Manchester this week in a smallish venue. £50 a ticket and they were asking £7.20 for a non alcoholic Guiness!

Shameful…that you you were asking for non-alcoholic Guinness

Walsall are doing the same, except you feel underprivileged if you actually get one…:joy:

Haven’t the underprivileged suffered enough? And now they have to go and watch Blues play.

Heads up for season ticket holders buying the linked Villa / Blues tickets: the link up is not working on the eticketing website so you can have your normal seats but it wants to charge full price for both (and £3 booking fee). Ring the ticket office and they’ll sort it, with no booking fee.

Thanks for the heads up, just been on the dog and bone to the old girl in the ticket office. She described sales for both games so far as ‘brisk’, particularly the Villa game.

Got my tickets by phoning ticket office yesterday. Got to say the they were as helpful as ever - I didn’t know about the deal for blues+villa until they told me. Got my £4 off and my regular season ticket seat for both games. Looking forward to them - watching England play no substitute for watching Walsall. UTS.

Obviously not. Chaos on tbe M40 and other routes north from Heathrow so we decided to break our journey and stay over somwhere. Found a good deal at a golf club just outside Henley - and found out that by pure luck we’ve arrived right at the beginning of regatta week (they’re still setting up for the main shindig but lots of rowing teams here competing in qualifiers). No sign of Crod anywhere …

Is there any way you can buy the Villa Blues deal as a ST holder in your ST seat on the website? (Without calling them up)

Seems it allocates you a random seat in the main stand when I’m after tickets for the upper tier

Not sure as I always get mine by telephone (you interact with a very pleasant human with a bit of common sense rather than a machine, no admin charge, and can still get them by email), but I believe the period for claiming reserved ST seats has passed so perhaps the specific ones you wanted have already been snapped up on general sale?

If i select them manually on the map, the seat i sit in isn’t taken. I can buy them individually, but it’ll cost an extra £6 or so with fees

I’ll have another look later
