Updated table after last weekend (13th April) and the postponed games that have all now been completed. An average week of scoring with nothing exceptional but also no blobs.
The winning score was 3 points, achieved by 1933, Welsh_Saddler, The Hass Boss and matt_saddlesore - well done to you all.
Although it looks like the title may well be sewn up now with 3-4 weeks to go, the most weekly wins title is still being hotly contested with no less than 5 predictors on 6 weekly wins and another 3 who are on 5 weekly wins, so keep going to the very end!
According to my peerless calculations, Iām now on 131 points, about 37 points ahead of my nearest competitor. A stellar streak of joy in an otherwise dismal season of misery and despair. Please form an orderly queue for adulation, gifts, victory garlands and the like.
Table update after week 43. Very good scoring, no blobs and lots of 4s,which would normally win, but, the winning score was 5 points, achieved by Morty and Timbuktu_Saddler - well done both!
With that win, Timbuktu is now top of the weekly wins table on 7, with a chasing pack of half a dozen other predictors on 6. So, the overall title may be pretty much sewn up now, but there is still stuff to play for!
Updated table after the final Easter games (Week 44). A lower scoring week that the first set of Easter games, with a couple of blobs, but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by itasaddler - well done!
Penultimate table of the prediction league season after this weekendās games.
Not great scoring overall, with lots of 1s, but there were some 3s and 4s, but the winning score was 5 points, achieved by chunkster - well done!
With only 1 week left, the winner is now official, but I will wait until after next weekend, and the final table to announce him (I have to muster the words to say without being sick first too!! )
Whoa!
hang on a minute.
I did post my predictions for this week and it seems they havenāt been counted!
It may not matter in the grand scheme of things but in the interests of completeness I claim to be equal to Manchester Saddler. (Now that in itself may have been an achievement)
In 1954 the Vietnamese kicked the French out of their country in an act of defiance that shocked the world.
In a similar manner, with a fair helping of good fortune and blind luck, I have liberated victory from the clammy grasping hands of predatory imperialists. I therefore dedicate my latest success to the people of Vietnam, for inspiring people to face down insurmountable odds, never give up and to always do your best, and by doing so to achieve the impossible.
