Prediction League 2018/19

I am just hoping to get enough points not to be relegated, it’s just the attitude I have picked up over the years :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s a marathon not a sprint.
Staying power, that’s what you need. And the ability to come from behind. (Saigon used to be very good at coming from behind,) Seems he’s got a bit of the premature fizz about him this year, Shot his bolt too soon!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just a warning to everyone, there won’t be an update to the table after yesterday until at least Fri evening as I am in Scotland all week and don’t have access to my laptop and saved files.
I will set up the week 6 thread for next sat though whilst i am here and will be done Tues or weds.

Some of us are very happy for you to take as long as you like. Xmas,if you want.

Just roll it into next week’s update…

I think I might be able to cobble together the bare essentials.

:sunglasses:

In the spirit of assisting and informing predictors in an act of community solidarity, please allow me to furnish the group with an update following this week’s games. This in no way replaces the formal tabular update and is merely a informative stop-gap, so please forgive any minor errors.

Updated table from week 5 (the bank holiday Saturday games)
Mixture of scoring as always but a big congratulations to sirraygraydon who, after 4 successive blobs, got off the mark with a lovely 4 pointer - well done!!

The winning score for the week was a very impressive 5 points, achieved by DonningtonSaddler - well done! That has sent him shooting right up the table and into the top half a dozen - just shows what a good week can do for you in the prediction league!

A couple of new predictors joined us in week 5 (welcome!) and they have taken the place of people taken off the table after not predicting for 4 weeks.

Clearly one of those fluke weeks…

Slowly moving up after my poor start. Happy with that.

Updated table after last weekend’s games. One or two faves didn’t get the result thought so some low scores as well as some good scores. The winning score was 4 points, achieved by Saddler_andy - well done!

That win now gives us a different winner for each of the first 6 weeks which shows how open and spread the prediction league can be - never rule yourself out!!

Even if i’m 4 game’s behind …:disappointed:

Well, I certainly would have taken that at the start, but disappointed that I couldn’t take full gloating advantage of my lofty position last week due to JJs ‘trip to Scotland’. I feel thwarted.

I had a raft of third rate celebration videos to disgorge. On the upside, I’m sure they’ll be unleashed at some point, even if it is to pontificate over my unabated superiority to Manchester. :relieved:

Back from holiday, I missed a week but YUS, some points

Like a phoenix from the flames, ready to smite thy enemies into dust!

Updated table after last weekend. The failure of the mighty Sunderland and Portsmouth to win in little League One bit the predictors’ backsides pretty severely and resulted in very low scores. If you had the bravery and risk-taking qualities last weekend, you faired a little better!
The winner was tinned, with 3 points - well done!

Not massive movement in the table as a result of the low scores but just one cracking week can send you zooming up the table so keep trying! This weekend’s games are up and running.

Updated table from week 8 and a real mixed bag of scores. Lots of 0s and 1s but also a good few 3s. But, the winning score was 4 points, achieved by NorthwichSaddler - well done!

An update for week 9 (last weekend) is on the way!

That’s it, it’s TOTAL WAR.

I’m not upset, just bitterly disappointed and annoyed.

:santa:t2:

Here is the long…and I mean long (!) awaited first update to the table (apologies for them backing up, but they are on their way!) for a few weeks - this is week 9 from the 22nd Sept.
Not bad scoring overall and the winning score was 4 points, achieved by derbysaddler and Welsh_Saddler - well done to both of you!

This was also the first week of the season that had a postponed game (Barnsley v Burton) so you will notice a few * next to names - you will get the appropriate points for that game when it is played.

Other updates and tables will be done asap, including the much anticipated week 10 table to see who wins the first prize of the prediction season!

Until then, toodle pip!
