Released and Retained list

Exactly this. His contact was up at the end of the season anyway, so why not play him and secure promotion then let him go?? Madness…

This was my email and Graham said he will pass it on.

Hi Graham

Please pass this on to Ben Sadler and Ben Boycott.

To put ‘it was not meant to be’ on the Facebook post, was very disrespectful to us fans and it shows you have no idea how we feel.

Do not say this season has been progress because from the position we were in, in January, to how we have finished is nothing short of embarrassing.

Take a look on Facebook at the comments from opposition fans to see what they think of our blowing of such a league.

The team you have presided over will go down in history as the team that had such a large lead and blew it, not once, but twice with the Wembley appearance.

We need some answers as to why Williams was not selected for weeks when we looked so much better with him in the side. Why DJ was frozen out when our only decent striker went back. Why Sadler kept playing Adomah upfront when he said he wasn’t a striker? Why the January window was such a disaster?

Unfortunately fans will not trust this club again even if we were 20 points clear. My daughter has given up as she said there is no point supporting them after that capitulation.

Sadler has just said that we will have to do some good work in the loan market again. No thank you, do you not learn? It’s that the last three seasons, that has lead to our downfall

Do not pat yourselves on the back and state we have made progress because us fans don’t want to hear it.

A totally embarrassed Walsall fan

I could live with keeping all our present players .doesn’t matter who we let go or bring in The problem remains .Any new manager would get a better tune out of this existing squad then him .appalling manager

I would just add one last comment to this thread, just on a personal level.
I’ve accepted what happened and was slightly warming to the idea of Sadler staying and getting another shot next season so long as mistakes were clearly rectified.
This retained list, has just extinguished even that at least for now. And I think this is another big problem with keeping Sadler, he is now a completely divisive figure. Unless Trivela can absolutely walk on water with the summer signings I fear for a really toxic start to next season, and I don’t want to see that after so much good will returned and was even amply evident during the collapse.

Such a shame what’s ongoing, and as much as I hope its not the case, I think this lot are so far up their own arse now this could really start to go backwards alarmingly, as if it hasn’t enough already.

For various reasons, I have to chuckle about how these news articles are describing McEntee as a midfielder.

Exactly this

What does Sadler think is going to change in a group of bottlers that have been the worst in the country for half a season.

Just pure logic would say we are now in a relegation fight because we don’t have the cushion Lowe provided.

Trivela have made the error of retaining an incompetent manager who wants to keep his mates.

Sht end of season and now a sht summer.

The biggest surprise for me is that Josh Gordon hasnt been offered a 15 year extension on his contract after Mr B Boycott’s defence of his signing was because he scored 15 goals for a shite Barrow team and according to the PE teacher he runs around a lot doing next to nothing in training. That must meet the then “right character” test. The club and and the manager are taking us one direction …National League

Need him more than ever now our best defender.

God help us and all that support and play for us

I think I’d like a bit more certainty, rather than “who knows” they might be better next season.

three year deal, can see why he punched the ball in now to avoid injury rather than risk getting hurt. Still the manager played him as his little favourite at the detriment of the team. Hope it was worth it Sadler.

Not for me , I’d rather see a player who can potentially start week in week out.

McEntee’s three-year deal for Hearts: yet more proof of that the most arrogant posters on here know least about the game.
Good luck Osh, and thanks.
