Sadler out
Fair enough, personally I don’t think Hornby will be No1 , think he’s as good as you’ll get as a experienced number no2 , think we need a bit better for a no1.
I aint so sure now. If they’d give him a year then yes. Just think we could do better, especially if we are handing out 2 year deals.
Will that do any good?! Shouldn’t we being getting behind our team, not getting on their backs - with so many new and inexperienced players, we are in danger of really ruining their confidence and motivation. What happened last season is not the fault of the new players, they don’t deserve “getting dogs”.
I give up with some of our fans. When the season starts we need to get behind our team…that is our role. When I see some of the comments on here I despair. Ok we cocked up last season badly but at least we were in position to cock it up. I am as disappointed as anyone but we must look forward. I like the signings we have made and with tha addition of a central midfielder and good goalie we are not far off assuming Hall and the lad from Bournemouth sign.
Definitely, people need to put their personal agenda to one side and get behind the team and club.
I am getting a bit fed up of being told how I should feel and how I should support Walsall. I have had a bit of experience of it.
You like this and you like that. Good for you, don’t assume everyone feels the same.
When people say the team deserves “dogs abuse” I take issue with that. I don’t like it and is not supportive. You may like it …I don’t and have every right to say that.
They didn’t say that though,
There is a big difference between “they will” and “they deserve it”
I think we all know it will become toxic quickly if things aren’t going well. I doubt it will be aimed at the players though.
Anyone know anything about Harry’s injury?
He is out for pretty much the whole season, from what I read.
No, but I’m hoping it’s bad enough to keep him out for the whole of the transfer window then clear up for our very next game.
Frankly, it has been on and off since Sadler was appointed. The slightest setback has resulted in booing and calling for him to be sacked.
Admittedly, it’s only some of our fans, but I can see it happening from the first game, regardless of the result.
First time last season I heard anything chanted about Sadler being sacked was Accrington at home and frankly he should have been gone by then. I wasn’t one who joined in for what it’s worth, even if I agreed.
There is a difference between what is written on here and what happens in the ground.
I agree totally. Any vitriol will be aimed at others, not on the pitch. New players come in with a clean slate and it would be unfair to lump them together with “the usual suspect.” Support the lads on the pitch, UTS!
Im sure when the season kicks off everyone there will get behind the team . What should be more of a concern to Trivela is how much will the capitulation last season effect the home attendances.
If we start badly then crowds will dip and it will get toxic very quickly. That will be entirely on Trivela, and not the fans, for the decisions they have taken this summer. Lets hope they have got the main one to keep Sadler correct
Sorry I must be dense, why is it on trivella .
I honestly can’t remember Ben Boycott having a bad game
That’s an odd way to put it, as far as I’m concerned it was catastrophic, the arrogant sod refused to change his team selection and tactics ( I use the word tactics very loosely) until it was virtually too late, and then we didn’t turn up at Wembley AGAIN, so what does he do? He goes away and hides, not a word to supporters, the bloke is a disgrace.
A great example of if bollocks is said or written often enough it becomes a fact.
Have a look at the starting line up for the last 7 or 8 games. He was making changes, but they didn’t pay off.
Also on the match threads on here, most posters that commented agreed with the majority of the starters during those last few games.
Blame starts at the top.
I am in agreement with your view that the players have to accept some responsibility.
It works it’s way down. Sadler failed to get the players motivated or find a way to get the small amount of points required. Trivela sat on their hands and kept him in place, and he is still here.
That is just how it works. I may not have done the best job of explaining that, but you will get what I mean, I am sure.
