Just have a look. The facts are there, however, let’s not let them get in the way of a good hounding.

Nah, he made changes, but too little too late. Confidence was rock bottom by then. Plus, a lot of the changes were just throw some shit at the wall type.

I don’t know many fans that thought Matt should be starting. I don’t know any that thought Johnson shouldn’t have at least been on the bench. Anyone think Williams shouldn’t have started v Port Vale?

Go back further than that and it is hard to see why several sensible changes weren’t made. For example Asiimwe and Change.

It’s no use making changes in the last seven or eight games is it? The wheels were starting to come off with 20 games left.

Matt Taylor stuck rigidly with 1 system come what may with no flexibility. Darrell Clarke changed the squad/formation more times than his underpants - often many times during a single game.

Some on here have said MS has been too rigid (e.g. playing Liam Gordon and Jellis too often), others that he’s changed too much (e.g. dropping Harry Williams), and others that for L2 you need to keep it simple. So what should he, or any other manager to replace him, be doing? Settled squad selection and formation or pick 'n mix

Well it is, as had we won one or two of them, we would have won the league.

Point I was making was that HE did make changes, which goes against the narrative that he kept doing the same thing.

That’s not the point I was making though. There’s a difference between making the changes that you and others might want to see (of which he did with Hall, Chang and Williams) and not making changes at all, which keeps being implied.

You said above he didn’t keep doing the same thing.

Unfortunately he did, regardless off the personnel. Just lamping it up to Jamille, that was pretty much it. Apart from Newport away, when I think Matt didn’t play. We just then needed someone to stick the ball in the net.

The only thing I wanted was a team that could win that one game in the horrible run, which would probably have got us promoted. Whatever he did, he failed massively. The finer details don’t really matter.

I find it unbelievable we are going into next season with him as manager. Just can’t get my head around it.

I said that he made changes to the starting line up., in reply to Sid’s post

Think I’d rather believe he didn’t make changes and hold onto hope things will change, rather than he made changes and we were still shite

Cor believe he’s still here Franksie

Professional players shouldn’t need any extra motivation than earning their wages every month , going out and giving 100% and trying your best for your team mates manager, fans and the club are a minimum requirement for a professional.
As I’ve said before it’s inconceivable to me that the players weren’t motivated to win, unfortunately as I’ve also said once the results weren’t going for us we were just what we were a bang average lge 2 side,
The implosion was spectacular but to just keep rolling out the same Sadler out 0ut lines is in my opinion just plain lazy,.
For some reason many on here didn’t want Sadler from the beginning, and unfortunately seen almost happy with the way things turned out last season so they can try and justify there opinions, which obviously they are perfectly entitled to. but in my world as you know serves no positive purpose

Likewise when we screw up again.

I can assure you that if that happens the people who seem to want us to screw up will be a lot happier than those of us who don’t

He told you if you read the whole sentence…

I don’t think anyone would be happy in that situation.
That’s kind of why a lot are still unhappy or seething still now.

I am all for having a debate, and I never assume my views are 100% correct.

I am getting a bit fed up of this kind of bullshit though. Not just you. So because I believe Sadler should have been sacked (probably after Barrow, definitely after Wembley) I want us to screw up, and I’ll be happy about it?

You keep believing that, if it makes you feel better.

I don’t want us to fail, I’d be ecstatic if we went up as would most if this happened, it’s just that some have a different outlook about the club over a number of years, it’s just differing opinions, if it’s crap I’ll call it crap, if it’s great I’ll say it’s great.

Whatever it’s not down solely on MS
Board/Trivela for transfer activity in Jan
Waddock and Byfield they either didn’t contribute or were weak
Don’t forget Richard Okelly was advising in the background too
We have a strength and conditioning dept so any tried players should have been highlighted and managed
The players, example nobody asked Gordon to pass to the Vale forward.
Of course MS is the main man and the focus and can stays with him but in truth it’s down to more than just him
The fact he trusted his players is a strength but in this case proved misplaced, and end up as doing the same thing and expecting different result is madness
Also how much was were not as good as we thought we were before Jan and we ended up where we deserved ?? Who knows

Really, they were unhappy before.
I think you misunderstand me I’m not happy with what’s happened, but can’t see the point of the continuing hand wringing, moaning etc , just what is it going to achieve, apart from creating a negative atmosphere before we start
