Is it scratching the surface or just another attempt to sling more mud at Trivela?
Ricochet springs to mind!
Not sure which LOI side he plays for tho…..
I’m glad he’s moved to Bohemians I couldn’t pronounce Drogheda.
I don’t know, it’s a topic of conversation, people ask questions and share opinions or views on it. For me it’s just another unknown about Trivela and the multi-club ownership, so I read people’s thoughts, opinions etc to try and build my own view.
Trivela have wished DJT every success as he moves to his new club in Prague.
Meanwhile, has anyone heard anything about Harry W?
I think he’s died!!
Achilles injury probably out for most of next season, even though out of contract we have duty of care and rehab due to the injury happening in the play-off final. So I’m told anyway.
Surely the player should have insurance in place for this eventuality. I dont see why the club should have a duty of care when the player more than likely wanted out of the club.
I’m sure all fans of Walsall and the other clubs want Trivela to turn out to be fantastic owners, I know I do from a Walsallcentric position. But it’s not mud slinging to say they have had a horrific 2025, it’s literal fact. In scrutinising where things have gone wrong and what might happen going forward it’s entirely reasonable to look at the bizarre case of DJT on a thread where he was literally only one of about a dozen on topic subject matters amongst all the various discussion tangents. It sheads a light on the multi club ownership and its dynamics, on the competence of Trivela against a backdrop of their unquestioned recent examples of incompetence, and provides some thought provoking matters of principle. On the last point I would be equally uncomfortable in a scenario that favoured Walsall. Say we couldn’t afford Hall, so Silkeborg signed him then loaned him to us. I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. I want Walsall FC to be a fiercely independent entity that represents its history and community, not some Americanised conduit in a corporate horse trade.
We know that the club offered him a new contract, but we have not been told whether he has accepted it. If we had not offered him a new contract, injury or no injury, he would have become a free agent and the club would not have any right to training compensation if he goes somewhere else.
Some decent points in there but is it not the case that the key question remains - can we be a fiercely independent part of a multi-club ownership model?
If Trivela believes that moving playing collateral around the clubs is advantageous and they (seemingly) wish to do it without a high degree of knowledge or understanding of the implications for doing so (DJT as an example) then we realistically can’t be (can we..)
I’m just a messenger, no comment.
Nobody knows what injury williams suffered as the club have given us absolutely no information for some reason. Though it must be reasonably serious as he has not signed for anyone else atm.
If i was him him i would take up the offer the club have offered him and show a bit of loyalty to the club who gave him his chance in the football league .
I normally agree with 90% of what you post. I have absolutely no idea with this rambling one though. Maybe im just a spanna.
Now ive just been presented with playing collateral. Blimey!! Looks like i need another Madri to get me through this UTS session
I’m not trying to sling mud at Trivela like has been suggested. They don’t need any help getting any of that to stick at the moment.
I am curious and dubious of this multi club ownership though.
You made a cracking point earlier that I hadn’t even thought of. How can Walsall and Drogheda both offer DJT a contract? I mean I am sure they can but how on earth does that work?
A lot of people don’t seem to bothered by the DJT situation, which is fair enough. We have lost a player that realistically wasn’t going to make it and a small amount of compensation because the owners didn’t understand the rules.
I see a day in the future when some transfer activity happens that really does piss off Walsall fans though. I haven’t really come up with an exact scenario, but I can see it coming.
But isn’t this only the case if we believe what some are posting about us paying his salary etc??
I don’t believe anyone posting on here truly knows the ins and outs of it all….
Mate, I’ve never claimed to understand it all, that is part of the problem.
Who is us? It is all Trivela, right?
There are a lot of questions. Did Walsall really want him (for this season?) If not, why are we offering him a contract? I mean you can take a guess at any of it, but it all seems very murky.
I’ve not (up to this point anyway) had a major downer on Trivela but the recent cock-ups ref European competition rules/the implications for Drogheda coupled with this lot with DJT is causing me to question their priorities and the quality of the work they do at executive level…
