RIP

Came in and helped us get promoted in Graydon’s first season, never knew he was born in Wolverhampton.

That’s awful news.

Was a big part of that 98/99 side - may he rest in peace.

Terrible news.

A big part of possibly the happiest season I’ve had watching Walsall. Seemed a kind and thoughtful human being.

£35k well spent on a good centre half in what was my favourite season of all watching the Saddlers. Part of an historic team in Sir Ray’s promotion squad. Rest easy Rich

RIP Richard

Such sad news. A big part of that promotion winning season under Sir Ray, an underrated figure in that season too in my opinion. This again epitomises how delicate life can be. RIP Richard :folded_hands:

Made such a valuable contribution in what was the epitome of a Team; everyone working hard for each other, no big time Charlies

RIP Richard - should have played more for us - good player.

I first saw him when he was centre-forward for Wolverhampton Schoolboys Under-11s and I wasted no time in signing him for my Sunday club, Walsall Pegasus. He was a big, strong, aggressive player but when other boys caught him up, physically, he was less effective. However, he switched to centre-back and his career blossomed. He spent the bulk of his pro career with the Sloppies, Gillingham and Northampton Town. He was quite a “character” and a bit of a mischievous rogue but very likeable for all that. 58 is a young age to die and my condolences go to his family and friends.
