RIP Shakey.

Saw the tail end of his time with us as I started going properly in 87/88 when I was only 7/8 so my memory is hazy, but I still know he was a great player. Hopefully the club do something special, he deserves more than a minutes silence.

I started at the same time so Shakey is ine of my hero’s , R.I.P

OMG. One of the best from my childhood, RIP Shakey h

Awful news. RIP Shakey. What a player.

That night at Highbury when we passed and played Arsenal off the park…
And that game against Chelsea when we came within a minute or two of getting another big scalp after goals from him and Mini.

I remember him playing at right-back in some games, and also at left-back in others. He was a very good player.

Such sad news. He played such a key part in both Buckley’s and Coakley’s teams. Wonderful striker of a ball. Many fond memories and some great cup games. R.I.P. Shakey.

Very sad news. I hoped that one day he’d come back as manager.

It seemed that he couldn’t stop scoring from free-kicks. Whenever a free kick was won, within striking distance of the goal, the crowd would chant “Shakey, Shakey!”

Terrible RIP

Yes, settled into it part of the way through his first season and that was more or less it for the rest of his time at FP.

I’m shocked by this. He was younger than me. I had no idea. One of my old school.heroes.

Words fail me!

Shocked, just shocked!

Gone far too soon. Mr reliable cant remember him having a bad game. Fantastic memories watching him at Fellows park and away always one of the first on the team sheet. RiP Shakey

That left foot…wow like a howitzer…memories of a brilliant footballer and a great gentleman. RIP Craig

Heard about it driving back from the shops on Talksport, absolutely gutted to hear the news. Shakey was one of the greats that I idolised growing up. As others have said, he’s gone too soon. RIP Shakey.

I won’t lie I just shed a tear and raised a glass of finest Irish Whiskey to a true legend. Gone far too soon. A great player and an even better man.

RIP
