There was a family of Leicester fans in the Street End that game - dad, a few kids, and a very gobby mum down towards the tunnel corner. She kept on how rubbish our team was, the state of Fellows Park and the pitch, how she pitied our fans, and how inferior everything was compared to the mighty Leicester City. It was obvious this was going to be a walk in the park with the Foxes winning by a cricket score.
When Alun Evans scored the late winner in a game in which Leicester had been decidedly second best throughout, my dad turned to her and said “I feet sorry for you lot having you watch this crap every week - you should come down here more often and see how football should be played if you think you’ve been watching a decent team”.
