He really comes across well. I have been lucky enough to speak to Matt, and I can’t stress enough how much he thinks of Walsall. He actually said it was one of, if not the best, atmospheres and environments he had ever been in and this is a player that has played at multiple clubs under multiple managers. I find it hard to be too critical of him simply because of that, plus he just seemed like a thoroughly nice guy.
He’s clearly going to play, I hope he rediscovers his form from earlier this season, like many others.
well that’s how I judge players too. The fact that he’s too knackered go above a trot after halftime is irrelevant. The only reason Sadler indulges in hoofball is because Jamma is on the pitch. He doesn’t win many layoffs these days just gets his shirt ripped off his back and moans at the ref because he doesn’t protect him enough.get him off the pitch for the last 4 of games, he is contributing nothing at all he just monopolizes the play 40 or 60yds from goal.
I mean, you’ve cut the context off as usual, where I point out he clearly loves and gives his all for us, which is clearly directly linked to on field performance, but I did also say:
I’m not making excuses for the bloke. I didn’t say it makes him a good player at this point, I didn’t even say I thought he should be picked.
At the risk of being castigated, against Notts County away, Jamma played like a man possessed (with Osh in midfield) coming on as a second half sub, when there were a few more gaps.
Adomah started up top with Lowe. Granted, it didn’t look great, but Albert did score against Harrogate away and he is a clever player. Pretty sure he played quite well with Harrison too (was it the Grimsby game when Ellis scored)?
Not sure that the Harrogate team would expect that pairing. Second half, bring on Levi and Jamma, and hopefully they can ruff up the opposition like a pair of rabid dogs!
I wish I could find a bookies offering odds for MS to be with us next season if we are in either L1 ( slim chance ) or L2 (on form the more likely ) MS has a contract until 2028 which will cost a fortune to pay off and we will be spun the story that a loss in the playoffs/an 8th or 9th finish this term is still an incriimental progress from last season’s finish of 11th and MS & the coaching has their full backing for the new season. They have offered next season’s season tickets surprisingly early and cheap in the bad run of form, why would they have done this if we become a L1 side when we would be needing higher prices & all the cash we could get our hands on to finance more expensive players and higher salaries. I think we have been played
That’s not Jamma’s problem, he’s good at wrestling with the opposition, he’s just not very productive at it. As I’ve said, the only reason Sadler plays soul destroying hoofball is because I’m Jamma is on the pitch.
It’s not the time to change the manager - he deserves the chance to see the job through. It’s now up to the players to get their fingers out and get the 3 wins we need to go up. I can’t believe how inept they’ve been over the last game and a half: it’s time to JFDI!!
Best thing about that JM article is seeing photos with the stands full. Club photographers seem to have a preference for taking pics facing towards the family stand which is usually empty.
For next season, we cant be buying these broken players…
We have a squad of what, 29 and with 4 or 5 on long term serious injuries - has killed us.
For me, Hall isnt the messiah - i thought he was average in his cameos with a couple of shinning lights. But as a fellow poster said above, you need 12-15 games behind you to say your back.
Hopefully, having 10 odd players out of contract can help us trim this squad down and get some real starter quality into the squad. With experience pls.
Is Sadler the most hated manger ever?
Nobody wanted him to get the job in the first place.
As soon as a bad run started, then people on his back.
Look at this thread. I think he has reached the point of no return, even if we do, somehow go up.
