Salford City (H) February 1st, 3pm

2.0 win if lads are fired up, saddler to make no changes until 64 min during the game even if were 6 down and will stick to same formation.

Crowd 5,457 and 3 walsall fans keeping a eye on score as were at black country museum. Wife birthday…

I fear another defeat 0-1 is my prediction. We then have a free week and normal service will be resumed after that.

I hope you’re wrong chap as i fear a meltdown if we do. Mad isn’t it with a 9 point lead at the top?. It’s the fear of blowing it i guess

We need to get back to basics. No hasty changes.

Simkin
Barrett Okagbue Williams Allen Gordon
McEntee Stirk Jellis
Matt (or Gordon) Adomah

I was tempted to leave out McEntee in favour of Lakin, but if Matt doesn’t play we need his height.

A nervy 2-1 victory

I genuinely don’t love my wife that much, and she knows it

I’m only joking with you, nice fish and chips.

Have a great day.

Might even be Saturday, don’t know what he’s doing tomorrow night if he gets lucky and scores fair play to him

I agree on that but there is no need for a meltdown. At the moment we are short of players and some need a rest. Get at least a couple in and a week off and we will soon bounce back. I don’t see these lads throwing away our current advantage.

I predicted a loss against Fleetwood mate. Never again will i let my glass overfloweth aka Bradford. Not until we stumble over the finish line anyway

My wife’s birthday is May 3rd. Have been hoping to land it on a play-off weekend since we’ve been married, having done Oldham away (twice) Rochdale and Rotherham away, for previous mid-week wedding anniversaries. Hopefully this won’t be the year!

The Man City battering really has derailed Salfords promotion charge.

3-1 to us.

We can say same about Fleetwood and Bradford
Could be interesting to see which team response to there recent adversity the best

My wife won’t come football with me and won’t let me go to away games . You lucky fella

You’d still be predicting a points deduction by the league🤣

I think Jamma will be on the bench for this one due to his fitness issues.

I’d start with Wheatly and Flash.

I’d love Weir to play, with either Taylor moving to LWB, midfield or dropping to the bench. McEntee is a good shout for either Harry or Big Dave. I definitely think the defence needs freshening up.

I’d give Barret a rest with Albert coming in for him. Lakin, Jellis and Stirk in midfield.

I’m worried this could be a bit like the Bromley game. I’ve got a feeling we’ll concede early, maybe even go two down, but bring it back to win 3-2. Wheatly, Weir and a last minute DJ winner from the bench.

:joy::joy::joy::joy:

That made me laugh.

I don’t care how we win as long as we do. Ain’t fussed on the performance.

Hope @Welsh_Saddler feels better. Love the intros to these match threads - they’re appreciated.

A potentially season defining game for me. Win and the last week has been a mere blip on our relentless march to L2 glory, defeat and a 3 game losing run really starts to ask questions of our ability to stay the course.

Hoping for a bumper turn out, plenty made of the disappointing audience figures for January home games despite our sensational form. Well now everyone has been paid, it’s a Saturday 3pm kick off and Mat and the boys deserve and need our support.

Sorry to hear that you are under the weather Peter.
Hopefully a win will at least cheer you up
A hard fought 2-1 victory putting us back on track.

Might sound obvious, but Really hope we get the first goal in this game

If we go into this game without a couple of additions I’m not so confident.

Would like to see a new striker added for tomorrow, especially if Matt remains injured.
