Salford City (H), Tues 20th April, 7pm

Personally I don’t think we should join the New European Super League. It would ruin the special relationship between us and the management that has been so important over the years!
And can you imagine gates of nearly 5000 at the Bescot? Nah it will never happen.
Hoping for a Dutton 0-0 special tonight, but think they will be too strong for our low on confidence strugglers, (I think we should give up any idea of a last minute surge for the play off’s now). The money men will be eager for an easy 3 points to cement their stride towards winning me my holiday money! 0-2 or worse if Saturdays performance is matched.

Having broken the i follow habit on Saturday I’m not even considering parting with a tenner.
Spot of fishing followed by Finn Harps game for £4.30, which will be the equivalent of the money saved by not going for a pint. If Holden’s out then the only thing we’ve got is the 0-0 strategy, and I’ve seen enough of that thanks. Lets just get this season over with ASAP.

Be watching as always these should come and have a go still a chance they can make the play offs 2 draw specialists against each other and they have the best defensive record in the league 0-1 sadly

Holden won’t play again this season . I expect a 1-0 loss today followed by 1 draw and 2 losses from remaining games. Where’s a goal going to come from except maybe a corner . We will concede .
Holden saved us from relegation nothing else

Do you reckon there will be interest in his signature come the summer mate? I have a feeling DC might take a punt on him but that’s just my opinion.

I would hope Holden saw what a ■■■■ Clarke was here and doesn’t go .

A penalty obviously… oh hang on

I reckon Holden is done as a Walsall Player. He was, rightly, a boo boy in his first year and he and Clarke referenced it many times. I think he came here for Clarke, not Walsall as the bloke was very loyal to him and kept faith in him despite some backlash. I reckon if Vale don’t want him he will go somewhere else.

And to me it’s not a big deal. He’s a good player but there is not a single player in this squad I’d brake my neck to keep.

Maybe after the results on Saturday some of the players will realise that to get a new club we need to score goals and they will make an effort to get some shots on target.

I was watching the under 10’s Kids team play yesterday and all they wanted to do was get a shot at goal. I thought you will never play for Walsall with that attitude!

I sadly agree mate , but if there was one to pick from these he would have to be the one .

Holden has played his last match wearing a Walsall shirt. As mentioned above if Clarke is vetoed from signing him, someone else will. He is the only player on our books that would interest any other EFL club. The rest, if they find employment, it will be non league, just wish Dutton would join that exodus, not saying that he’s cheap and useless, (making him perfect for us) but we need a proper manager, not an apprentice. Over to you Pomlett & DoF.
Not holding my breath. On to the next (miss)match.

I doubt Holden will be leaving. His injury is one factor and the fact we want to build the team around him is another.

Going for a 2-1 win tonight. scored by – who knows?
We are still not 100% in staying up, it is mathematically possible for us to drop.
So we need at least a point tonight or better still a win, we have reached the lowest league position in my 60 + years as a supporter, however we have not yet reached Colchester’s low sporting tactics of hidding the spare balls to waste time! hope we never scoop that low!! UTS

After Saturdays flat performance not sure what you can change.
Possibly Norman in for White, who was awful.
Would you leave out Wright or Osadebe or Gordon or Lavery? If so who do you bring in? I would love to see Nolan given a chance on the left, but his face don’t fit so not sure what options we have!
I’d go for the 11 that started the 2nd half against Tranmere with Nolan for Holden.

Hoping for 0-0

Tbh for money as a league club i probably wouldn’t offer a lot with his injury record. He’d be a more of a risk at the minute than a guaranteed good player for league 1 and above.
I wouldn’t mind any player leaving except him and perry . If I had my way they would be the only 2 starters from this years team next year. Our team has had its worst season ever bar one and that’s truly embarrassing

I’d love Jayne Campbell to have a chance on the left and if Wright ain’t gonna stay Nolan on the right. Striker is the hardest as they are all terrible and we have no youth player coming through there so anyone will do for now until they are released

Scarresi could be back tonight goody.

With Rose having a poor time on Saturday, Roberts could be back too.

Roberts and Scarr have at least one calamity between them per game. Sometimes it costs, sometimes it doesn’t. Equally, Roberts can make saves that Rose can’t and Scarr is as big a goal threat (at the right end) as we have at the club.

Really want to beat these tonight.

I agree , thought Nolan showed a lot of potential when he first arrived , but the wheels seem to have come off with a return from lockdown over weight , and now some shit about twitter likes or something .

Give him a good run of games now till the end of the season to see if he is worth persevering with …end of .

Wright shouldn’t start after Saturday’s no show. Don’t have a problem with a player having an off day but he didn’t seem very interested and that’s not acceptable.

I’d probably go:

Rose
White
Sadler
Clarke
Melbourne
Kinsella
Oss
Perry
Norman
Lavs
Gordon

Optimistic 2-1 win.
