Season 23/24 lookback

Hi all,

This week we are looking back at some of the interviews we have had throughout the season.

To begin with, here is an interview with Jimmy O’Connor where he spoke about the ups and downs of his time at Walsall. The play-off’s, missing out at Wembley, and his dramatic exit from the club, as well as Dean Smith’s exit and THAT game against Chelsea

Will add each episode for our lookback week into this thread

Today we are highlighting our interview with comedian Geoff Norcott.

We chatted about Independent regulator, big club bias, and a collective frustration towards the scrapping of FA Cup replays as well as much more lower league football chat.

One thing I find slightly galling is to see a team we should of (sic) beaten a few weeks ago, now probably going to Wembley to play for a place in League 1. I’m talking about Doncaster, of course. In fact, at various times this last season we have beaten more or less all the teams who are definitely or likely to be in L1 next season. At the same time, we have lost - sometimes comprehensively - to both the teams that are crashing out of the EFL. Now THAT’S the story of our season.
And that’s us.Worsul, ay we?
