Absolutely fuming. What a stitch up, the one result that pretty much sends both the sides through and they play out a passive 0-0 draw that suits them both perfectly, I I I I hope the FA investigates because it stinks.
Another year before we get the chance to win the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

I’m not sure it’s an F.A. competition, I thought it was under the auspices of the Football League, although I might be wrong.
It behooves me to include that word in at least a couple of conversations tomorrow.

The competition has become abysmal since the premier u21s have come in . Not that it was great before that .

I thought the final games in each group were played simultaneously (like in the World Cup)? Playing on different dates gives more scope for dead rubber games and/or result fixing to guarantee progression.
Given the meaninglessness of it in a competetive sense, MS should be treating it as a friendly and giving minutes to squad players. But since we’re already depleted by injuries, and will have 3 others off on international duty, he doesn’t have much leeway with team selection.
Totally agree, the format needs altering (or scrapping) in my opinion. The current setup is very poor and is generally unpopular until the latter stages by which time most teams are out anyway.
I’m giving it a miss next season that’s for sure.

It’s definitely something that has got to happen after last nights fiasco. What happened at The Bolt New Lawn yesterday was nothing short of a disgrace and for the good reputation and integrity of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy final group games have to happen at the same time.

Got my tickets but cant say i’m looking forward to it now were already out.bit of a dead rubber realy, and definitely cant afford to risk getting more on the injured list

I’ve also got a ticket and to be honest apart from the game has to be played there’s no point other than compliance of the fixtures.
It’s an opportunity to give game time to the players that don’t feature much and of course to hopefully see us put one over on Shrewsbury.
Looking forward to it ? Not in the slightest.
