Agree with all of that
A big number either way ( the numbers EN quoted just seem too high which is why I asked the question).
As you say though, will only make players more expensive and will likely increase the wealth gap. I imagine those further down the pyramid are enticed by what’s on offer should they progress up the leagues.
I’m ambivalent about it tbh. I enjoy the evening home matches (and watching a midweek away game on ifollow if I can’t get there) as much as the Saturday ones, but I’m sure this will affect the atmosphere both home and away.
Obviously a bit different for me now, which is probably why I’m ambivalent
In that case, 43K a game, which still covers an awful lot of season tickets.
For what it’s worth, I think Boycott is right, it’s not a game changer in terms of competition because every other club in the league will be receiving the same.
I’d given Championship 50% League One 33% and us 17%, which as I said was a complete guess. I’m amazed the Championship is getting that much of the deal, but not a million miles away for us. Works out to 30K a game rather than 40K.
That doesn’t prove anything, just that Coventry were really unlucky that VAR caught them offside,it’s the same rules for everyone,if Man Utd had scored and VAR decided they were offside it would have been disallowed too
I’m not,I’m a Walsall fan who like just about every football fan has a premier league team as a 2nd team from when I was a kid. So you could say I’m biased, but that’s a bit of a statement to say the least…
I know your first team is Walsall Sid, but I know from your posts that you have an affinity for Man Utd.
I’d be interested to learn how many of us have a second team. I don’t apart from Walsall reserves
