Sky Sports agrees new five-year EFL deal (Apr 2024)

Popped 4000 once this year, average of about 2 and half.

Pull the other one.

Finished with an average of 3.5k which is way better than Sutton and Harrogate for example who both competed in their first seasons in the league. Apparently well backed financially by NL standards too.
I agree with you though that now being in the same league as the likes of Bromley is another blow to the self esteem of any Walsall fan!
Just glad it wasn’t Solihull. Couldn’t stomach the possibility of being the 7th best West Midlands team.

Nope. Just given you the attendance figures, right there. 2,637 if you want to be really precise about it.

Every football club is these days, we have our own accelerators here, remember?

Sort of team that there’s no excuse not to be dispatching now.

It’s a moot point but footballwebpages.co.uk gives the average as 3.5k. Maybe they included the playoff games.

Totally agree we should/need to be favourites to beat Bromley all day. Finishing below them probably means a return to our 16th place comfort zone

Nope. They’d have had to have had some pretty big play off attendances in the home game to have changed that significantly. It’s not moot, it’s factual. It’s literally mathematics.

The FWP average includes 23k at Wembley as a home game for Bromley for some reason, which does distort the figures.

:joy: just a bit! Last I checked Wembley wasn’t a home game :man_shrugging:

That will explain it then.
They took 20k apparently.

I look forward to them requesting 20 thousand tickets away to us next season then.

I dont know much about Bromley, but I understand them to be a physical direct team, which is the sort of team we struggled against last season, a la Sutton away.

Not looking forward to playing them, other than its a new away day and they have a terrace down the side of the ground which is a rare experience these days.

Hope not. Crowd bolstered by a large helping of Milwall fans who have them as their second favourite team apparently.

They also include it as an away attendance for Solihul!

Not looking forward to playing them,
[/quote]thats another away day fixture we can add to the 22 away fixtures “ not a good time to be playing these” “ not looking forward to playing these. “They’ve won there last 2 games . ect

Banned Millwall fans at that.

Lovely!
Get them first game of the season at Bescot when they are all full of opening day enthusiasm.
Great fun with 1k of them trashing the toilets and invading the Locker.

Absolute shambles now it’s become apparent 19 of our 46 games will either be 1945 Friday or mid day ish on the Saturday or Sunday.

5 am start to Carlisle anyone for a wetherspoons brekkie and a few pre match pints.

We could break our lowest ever away followings this season I think. 26 I reckon to Crawley for the moon Sunday kick off :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Where are you getting that from? :joy:

Yes, that classically well attended away day :joy:

As I said earlier in the thread, I reckon clubs will take that considering what they will make out of this deal.

But you don’t go to matches do you?

Home ones. Yes. But not the really rubbish ones with no away followings

They might well take it. But what a TV spectacle to look forward to. Crawley at 12pm on Sunday attacking the away end roared on by 8 supporters.

What a relief that the kids control the tele ensuring this tripe will never be on!
