I had the same. I suspect an increase in subs plus complications. I assume for the untelevised games, there will be the usual, possibly with an extra camera but, when a game is televised will the iFollow service still show the same limited angle or will it be the full-blown Sky coverage?
At least they have said that overseas iFollow will carry on.
He lived in Abbey Square. I lost touch with him after I left there, he was a nice kid. We played a lot of football growing up.
There were six of us (including pep) but we all went our separate ways. The last time I saw him was in the saddlers centre probably early eighties.
Stevie Taylor .I player against him in a semi final donkies years ago he took me to the cleaners scored a hat trick he was brilliant in the air .”The Giraffe “we called him .
There’s lots of things I won’t miss about i-follow, but the biggest is them trying to put a positive spin on godawful performances like yesterday. Hopefully Sky will have neutral commentators, and there’ll be a lot fewer anyway.
The commentator we had yesterday, and we have had him a few times, is completely awful. He doesn’t know the players, drones on about some nonsense when there are interesting things happening in the game. Yesterday was particularly bad. He referred to Faal’s OG as “a consolation” - he genuinely thought Walsall had scored! It made a painful game insufferable.
Will part of this new package give the club some funds to strategically position a few of those small, remote controlled cameras (as used for the Walsall v Leicester City FA Cup match)? Gone are the days when a number of seats needed to be taken over by a camera operator behind the goals / in the corners and surely we can do better than that sole camera angle perched above the main stand. It’s very 1990s.
From a personal perspective not being able to afford a season ticket this is a brilliant idea as k can watch a lot more games other than Tuesday night
Also with work and childcare I couldn’t guarantee I could go to weird time games so I’d miss a lot of games for the ticket to be worth it
